My name is Ross, and I'm in the process of "converting" from asp.net and MS SQL to PHP and MySQL.
I'm pretty new to website programming, although I have done maintenance programming, professionally with asp.net. I've also attempted to put together a project I want to publish with asp.net, and although I love the language, I've been frustrated with the website-publishing aspects of the project (so I'm currently learning CSS3 and HTML5, which I think will help me.)
I don't have any experience with PHP, but I have enjoyed MySQL on my PC and am quite confident that I'll be happy with this choice.
Nice to meet you all, I hope we can be fast friends and help each other for a long time.
