Hi All, I'm really new to AJAX... and to web programming in general. I've done lots of Java/C++ type stuff but am having some trouble wrapping my head around client-server communication, etc. So in a nutshell, I need to create a site that lists the users that are currently 'logged in' to the page. They don't need to chat or anything fancy like that, just log in and there should be a list of users maintained on the page for everyone to see, and if a user leaves the page, their name should disappear. I've talked to some people and they've said that AJAX is most likely the best solution, but I don't know where to start... Help!
