    Username changes

Could you change my name to Kris please. I can see this guy has that name already, but they have never posted with it, and haven't logged in since 01 February 2005, 09:37:28, 20 seconds after the account was created... Looks like this could have been a result of the migration to SMF back in the day.

    UK Post code database

I was speaking to a rep from RM last week. The data will be released. I think they are still working on how to make it accessible. Well, if that is the case, awesome! But based on track record, I'll believe it when I see it.

I heave read things every so often about them opening up the PAF, but it never materializes. I wouldn't hold your breath.

You'd be lucky as that information is copy-written and owned by the Royal Mail, whoever would be providing it would be breaking their license agreement. You might be able to do some approximate searches with one of Googles APIs, but it probably won't be as accurate as you are looking for.

If nano is not available, I know how to use it on a (very) basic level for quick changes, I just haven't had the time to sit down and see what all of the fuss is about, because initially it appears to be so long winded to use...

    ckeditor file browser

Oh really? I didn't notice that - I've integrated 3.0 for the first time on Friday into a new project but haven't actually tested it yet. This might be a deal breaker, unless the license fee is an unlimited use one, not a per-website one...

how to convert tiff to jpg with php?

As far as I'm aware, the GDLib doesn't support conversions from/to TIFF formats. You'll need some third party tool installed on the server, such as ImageMagick. Converting with ImageMagick is simple: <?php exec('convert path/to/original/image.tiff path/to/new/image.jpg'); ?>
