  2. the problem is not that it goes to login after closing browser. The problem is that is impossible to login again if you forgot to log out. (i need to clear all sessions etc. to reset the website and make it possible). Im using this script: http://evolt.org/node/60384
  3. Hello I keep having this issue with sessions. I have an login feature on my website that uses sessions. When i do like this: 1. Login 2. close browser 3. open browser again 4. try to log in It fails, actually nothing happens, so I manually need to go to logout.php to reset and then I can log in again. Why is this happening and how do i solve it?
  4. I mean if it will be easier for hackers to sql inject a file holding the mysql connections by somehow include it in scam or spam php.
  5. What is the most secure way? Having DB connect script in the beginning of every script you need db for, or Having a database.php script containing the script and then including it to all other php.
  6. Thank you, that solved it!
  7. Hello, I want to know if my login php is secure or if it's easily hacked by anyone. mysql_connect("$host", "$username", "$password")or die("cannot connect"); mysql_select_db("$db_name")or die("cannot select DB"); // Define $myusername and $mypassword $myusername=$_POST['myusername']; $mypassword=$_POST['mypassword']; // To protect MySQL injection (more detail about MySQL injection) $myusername = stripslashes($myusername); $mypassword = stripslashes($mypassword); $myusername = mysql_real_escape_string($myusername); $mypassword = mysql_real_escape_string($mypassword); $gmtUnixTime = time(); $tUnixTime = $gmtUnixTime + 3600; $sGMTMySqlString = gmdate("Y-m-d H:i:s", $tUnixTime); // Parse the String into a new UNIX Timestamp $tParsedTime = strtotime($sGMTMySqlString . " GMT"); $sql="SELECT * FROM $tbl_name WHERE username='$myusername' and password='$mypassword'"; $result=mysql_query($sql); // Mysql_num_row is counting table row $count=mysql_num_rows($result); // If result matched $myusername and $mypassword, table row must be 1 row if($count==1){ // Register $myusername, $mypassword and redirect to file "login_success.php" session_register("myusername"); session_register("mypassword"); $sql = "UPDATE $tbl_name SET senast = '$sGMTMySqlString' WHERE username = '$myusername'"; mysql_query($sql) or die(mysql_error()); $_SESSION['user']="$myusername"; $_SESSION['senastlog']="$sGMTMySqlString"; header("location:index.php"); } else { header("location:failed.php"); } ob_end_flush(); ?>

    YES! i solved it!! $linkid=filter_input(INPUT_GET,'link'); //WHERE linkid=$linkid $result=mysql_query("SELECT text FROM $tbl_name ",$dbc); while($row=mysql_fetch_row($result)){ echo "$row[0]<br>"; for others who wonder

    It did not work i don't know what i am doing wrong
  12. Hello im trying to make a comment feature by having a link under my pictures kommentar.php?link=1 Then use the link=1 to see what comments that should be taken from the database. The comments have a linkid like this Linkid: Text: 1 a comment on first picture 1 another comment on first picture 2 a comment on second picture 2 another comment on second picture But i can't get my php to echo all the comments with the linkid of for example 1 without having to get them all separately. This is my script: <?php ob_start(); $host="localhost"; $username="****"; $password="******"; $db_name="db"; $tbl_name="comment"; mysql_connect($host, $username, $password)or die("cannot connect"); mysql_select_db("$db_name")or die("cannot select DB"); $linkid=filter_input(INPUT_GET,'link'); $sql="SELECT * FROM $tbl_name WHERE linkid='$linkid'"; $result=mysql_query($sql); $grejs=null; while(mysql_fetch_row($result)){ $grejs.="$row[0]"; } echo $grejs; ob_end_flush(); ?>
  13. I want separate tables (1 table for each comment function) and i want a new table to be created when a new row is created through my post.php script. For example: Link one - bla bla bla >click for comments< (comment table 1 data viewable after this link) Link two - more bla bla bla >click for comments< (comment table 2 data viewable after this link) Link three - extreme bla bla bla >click for comments< (comment table 2 data viewable after this link) post.php will add a new link and a button to a other php that should retrieve the data from the newly created table
  14. Ok then i will need a table but how should i write in php to create a new table and name it after for example $name?
  15. Hello i want to create a comment function to my website, but im not sure which way to do it. The thing is that i have post.php script that insert a new row in my table "content" and i want 1 separate comment function for each row (that symbols a link on my website). I was thinking that i could add a new table each time a new row(link) is created on my website just by modifying post.php to create new table. But will this be the most officiant way of making a comment function or will it burden my server and slow'en it?
  16. Hello Im trying to make a php that only will be accessible for a specific user for example "admin" <?php session_start(); if(!session_is_registered(myusername)){ header("location:index.php"); } else { if(!myusername == 'admin'){ header("location:index.php"); } else { echo "Välkommen ". $_SESSION['user']; } } ?> index.php is the mainpage you get thrown back to if session is not registered or if myusername isn't admin (tho it doesn't work)
  17. will this do? <p class="<?php if ($aresult1['adult']==0) { $class="note-general"; } else { $class="note-warning"; } echo "$class"; ?>">
  18. Hello I want to be able to change the class depending on if a variable is 1 or 0. <html> <p class="note-general"> This is the general </p> <p class="note-warning"> And this is the warning </p> </html> I want the variable $adult (that can be 1 or 0) to set if the class should be a note-general or note-warning. Thank you for support
  19. but i only want to have the url data in the hyperlink href should be outside
  20. will: <?php $row1 = mysql_fetch_row($result1);echo $row1[2];?> take the url field data from the row selected?
  21. Hello im wondering how i can make a hyperlinks adress be a set after a variable. this is my php: $result1 = mysql_query("SELECT id, namn, url FROM stuff ORDER BY id desc limit 1;"); $result2 = mysql_query("SELECT id, namn, url FROM stuff ORDER BY id desc limit 1,1;"); <html> <a href="???"> <p class="note-general"> The first link </p> <a href="???"> <p class="note-general"> The the second link </p> </html> The important thing is that the url from $result1 will link under "the first link" and url from $result2 link under "the second link".
