Interesting response there.
It isn't to say that i'm a complete novice in PHP its just I've not used souly for an application.
The other more important thing is that I'm an honest chap so the client was made fully aware at the time of meeting that i am not a programmer.... telling them anything else would be crazy and derogitory on my business reputation.
So net result is I have been graced with a patient understanding customer wanting to work with me and a good deal of development time. The reason I asked the question is to get a feel of an honest rate (that doesn't charge them for my learning curve).
I appreciate that generally people will charge per hour (as i do) but to be fair on the customer I could charge per line or page of coding?
