  1. Hi I use SOAPCLIENT to access a 3rd party site for data and it randonly gets stuck for a short time. Does anyone know why SOAP would do this? It could be traffic at the 3rd party site but that really shouldn't delay the request much. Is SOAPCLIENT bad at accessing busy servers and should I change to a different method? What is the fastest and most efficient method of getting through to a WSDL XML data source? My code is pretty straightforward so maybe I need to force a setting or ask host to change something? The WSDL file should be a cached version so it shouldn't matter that it is from a HTTPS source I guess. I'm perplexed what causes the random hangs. Thanks - my code is as follows (sorry if this is in the wrong forum) $soapclient = new SoapClient('https://www.somesite.etc.etc.etc/file.wsdl' ,array("trace"=>1,"connection_timeout"=>5));
