  1. See, I knew I was not crazy! Haha... I will follow your suggestion. Thank you SO MUCH for your help with this!
  2. On the main page there are those headings such as NOW_IN_CART and TEXT_INPUT_SEARCH; they obviously look like coding and that is what I want to change. I would like them to match the rest of the headings without CAPS and without underscores. For example Now in Cart and Search Here, instead. Hopefully that makes sense? Everything else I am doing to it, I've figured out - just not this. :-/ Edit: The admin side has NO options to change these. It's a very limiting system, but we're stuck with it until our server is rebuilt. I'm checking with os commerce forums, but you guys respond MUCH faster.
  3. Okay, it looks like they are dynamically set up. Where would I find that information? What might it look like? FYI we have this site hosted on our own server. I did not set any of this up, so I am kind of going in blind here. Any assistance is really appriciated.

  5. Thank you for the reply. I am not sure the name as I was not originally who loaded it and edited it. I wish I knew more about it, sorry. I will look for a config file. Would you be able to give me an example of what the code would possibly look like? I really appriciate the help!
  6. Site: wickedgrinfashions.com Since a motherboard went out on our server, I am working on this. It is an OS Commerce site. I need to edit all of the titles that have underscores in them, but starting with NOW_IN_CART, I cannot for the life of me find where to edit it. I have all the files locally, but there are hundreds of files and many are "shopping_cart.php" (my first stab at finding it). I would like to just replace these titles without the underscores. I have found multiple files with NOW_IN_CART in them, but changing them ceases it to work, which leads me to believe its pulling from somewhere else? I'm lost. Below is where I thought I changed it... <?php if ($cart->count_contents() > 0){?> <?php echo NOW_IN_CART;?> <a href="<?php echo tep_href_link(FILENAME_SHOPPING_CART)?>"><strong><?php echo $cart->count_contents()?></strong><?php echo HEADER_SHOPPING_CART_BOX_CART_EMPTY?></a><?php }else{?> <?php echo NOW_IN_CART;?> <a href="<?php echo tep_href_link(FILENAME_SHOPPING_CART)?>"><strong>0</strong><?php echo HEADER_SHOPPING_CART_BOX_CART_EMPTY?></a> <?php }?>
  7. Cannot access using demo and password as the log in. Happy to look at it for you.
  8. Since I specialize in website design, I hope you don't mind me being particularly picky. Only trying to offer advice. 1. Your background is not flattering. That color of yellow and off yellow just makes the site look outdated. I would suggest using a sold background with a texture, or at least changing the stripe colors to more complimentary colors; blue and grey, green and brown, silver and white. Personally I would also do fat, horizontal lines, instead of skinny, verticle lines. 2. The logo looks outdated. While I like the idea, the font type you used bothers me. You saw a lot of that font type early 2000, but for your type of sight I would go with a more professional look; like impact or bernard MT condenced. In addition, the colors and thick black outline do not mimic anything else on your site. So, the logo just looks out of place. Mimic the colors for what you choose on the background; if you go with blue and grey for the background, use white as it compliments grey. Loost the thick black outline as your font will already be wide. Lastly, I have no idea what is behind "tag" in the logo?? I'd change it. 3. Your search bar could be better. I would get rid of the small "search" text above it and change "go" to "search". 4. The menu is okay, but again, it does not match any other part of the homepage. It's a black bar with white writing. If you decide to change the background, it will probably work. If not, I would change it to white to compliment your current background and have brown text to compliment the off yellow. (not my fav color combo however). 5. "Welcome to Price Tag India..." content box. The color blends to much with the background. If you decide to change the background, use a complimentary color. I would go with white with dark grey font or a medium grey with off white font. If you keep your background, change the box's background color to contrast it; I would go with dark grey that matches your menu and off white text. (again, not my fav color combo here). 6. Center your social feed tags below the writing if you want them there. I would rather see them in the empty space to the right of all the menu buttons (still within the black bar). 7. The white boxes with your separated content are very hard to read against the striped off yellow background. I would change these to match the color of the background in "Welcome to Price Tag India" or go with a totally different color that contrasts. For example, if "Welcome to Price Tag India" is dark grey, make these boxes light grey OR if the same area is dark grey, make these boxes dark blue (matching the color of your background). Hope that makes sense. The colors should bounce off each other, not fight one another. I would also add a 1 or 2px border around these separated boxes that is white. Have the font be white or very light grey. Putting a slight shadow to these might also be cool. I am hoping that wasn't too crazy confusing. Once you have the home page worked out, the other pages should simply mimic it. Good luck!
  9. First, I would adjust the colors. Perhaps use complimentary colors with the green you currently have. These would be greys, browns, and off whites (for the calendar itself). I would suggest, having the white a light grey with black font. Instead of the checkmarks, have the box turn a dark grey with white font to contrast the light grey. You could add something like "See Events" so customers know there are events booked. This may be personal preference, but I would take out the underline on the days (mon, tue, wed...) and put those in all caps (MON, TUE, WED...). Change the entire font type of the calendar to something more styled. I like myrad pro. Something still readable, but less "computer" looking. On the additional images, where you can post an event or see the event, get rid of the yellow color. Green and yellow together is bleh. Make the yellow the dark or light grey to match the calendar. I'd change that green color (behind close, post...) to the softer green color like the background of the calendar - less yellow. And change all the border color from green to white to tie in the white font and text field. Hope that helps!
  10. I would agree, it's kind of lame. But no worries! Since you are skilled in all the back-end, I would really suggest grabbing a free starter template online and editing it has you would like. At least then you have a starting point of design. As website design is my speciality, I would scrap the whole thing. Your portfolio should sell you, so it should be professional, neat, and inviting. Just some quick tips... try picking three main colors you want. I usually start with white and black, then an accent color. Add a simple banner at the top with your website name and/or logo. Loose the menu buttons and go with plain text. Find a repeated, simple, background image that doesn't distract from your content. Build one main colomn and separate the information by simple white space ( <br> tags or <p> ). Lasly, have a complete style sheet so you have some font variation. If you have other quesitons, I'll try to help.
  11. Thank you! So you know, I am doing this without pay for a non-profit organization that supports school fine arts programs. That is why I'm trying to do it, instead of finding someone to hire - as thier isn't really a budget. I really appriciate the time and help. I will try your above soultion out.
  12. Quickbooks 9 Excell 2009, LibreOffice Calc 3 Joomla 3.0 HikaShop 2.1.1 I am wondering if anyone has experience with this and could offer some advice. What I would like to do is take a large inventory list (over 3000 products) from Quickbooks and expoert it into a spreadsheet. I would then like to take that spreadsheet and import it into HikaShop to feed my product list. Essentially, I can do this without problem. However, the fields required for HikaShop are obviously very different than the fields provided in the exported Quickbooks file. When there are thousands of products, doing this manually is quite a chore. For now, I am facing exporting the Quickbooks file and adding all these fields manually to match the Hika feilds. But, I would have to do this every time I export the inventory list from Quickbooks. Or, I can create a second inventory list with all the required HikaShop fields and manually put in the inventory information. Either way, I am writing inventory twice... I have not tried to do something like this, in this way, before, so I am wondering if anyone has a better solution for this? All I would like is the easiest, quickest way to imput inventory once and have it feed the Joomla site. Browsing forums, I have read breifly on doing sometype of mysql database and going from the back end, but this is a little out of my skill range to understand exactly what steps to take... The company is interested in getting a POS system with a bar code scanner soon, so if this offers additional solutions that would great. Any info is appriciated. If you need additional info, just ask! Thank you.

If three of the div sections are fixed, your middle one will fill in the rest automatically - if you want it 100% within the useable space. What is the code above doing or not doing that you need it to. I'll try to figure it out for you.
  15. Just a quick question, what program are you writing this in/ what are you printing from? I'm wondering if it's not specifically a coding issue but how the code is read when you send it to print...
