What is needed for PHP 5.3.3 on Linux to connect to MSSQL Microsoft SQL Server?

The information on the php.net documentation seems to be out of date. http://php.net/manual/en/faq.databases.php#faq.databases.mssql as the link to the necessary libraries for Linux is broken. Can you tell me, or point me to what is needed to connect to MSSQL with PHP 5.3.3/Apache on Red Hat Linux If there is more than one option, we would like to know what they are and the installation details. Thanks
