you just need to get that variable before you "draw" the table then you can just encase it in an if statement. Example: <? if($var) { ?> <table> <tr> <td></td> <td></td> <td></td> </tr> </table> <? } ?>

Its ok people. The issue was with the virtual host and how it directed mx records. made the correction and it now works fine. (I did have a feeling, it was going to be something like that) btw this happened as the server thought the email was on the local box it was trying to send it to, so it does not send it and instead tries to just pass it along to the required service. But, the email is in-fact hosted on a google app's account and therefore once you disable the setting on the server it works fine.

Nope there is no error returned it states that it sent it correctly the domain is i-heatservices.co.uk

it is just a standard mail call mail("me@mydomain.com", "web form request", $msg, $headers); like I said, it works with one email address, but if I try to put a different email address in its place it fails. I did forget to say that the other email I try to send it to is on a different domain, but I have tried 3 email address and it is only one particular domain that messages appear not to be going to.

Hi all, I am using the mail function to send an email and when I send the email it goes through fine with one email address, but if I try to send it to a different email address it does not. However, the mail function still reports back that it was sent successfully. I have looked in the spam folder and I cannot see them there. Any one got any ideas? Cheers Mark

Radio button value not passed onto mySQL table
predator12341 replied to aftab_jii's topic in PHP Coding Help
which of your values are the radio buttons? -
Hi all, Right it must be because i am doing something very stupid but i just cannot figure it out. i have a form to add information to a database but if you miss information out it sends you back to the form to say you have missing fields etc. so through the url i pass back the information the user orginally sent through and when i send it back i use urlencode() this works fine to deal with spaces. however, it just is not handerling comma's so if i type test's it returns test\'s but stripslashes() or urldecode() will not remove the slashes. has anyone got any idea as this is really doing my head in now. Regards Mark

Unix to Windows Server translation?
predator12341 replied to squallsquall's topic in PHP Coding Help
it is calling host -a (that is the program) it passes $domain to it for the domain then it does a search of $domain and if not found is there it returns the records to show you the avaliable domains. unless you can get a windows version of the host app you cant get it on windows server. Hope this has helped Regards Mark -

i am not to update with this however i would say it is because of <META HTTP-EQUIV="Refresh" CONTENT="1800; URL=http://localhost/MyDreamProject/sessiontimeout.php"> you have set it to 30 minutes so even if you click continue it will expire after 30 minutes because it is not being reset correctly Regards Mark

Hi all, I have been looking into this a bit more and have found out PHP is really not designed for it lol. So i am going with flash and flash media server 3 developer edition (its free ) so i will take in the stream with that save out a jpeg and refresh a feed on a php page (so even if a user does not have flash player on there pc they can see an image that updates ever 10 seconds). I will keep you posted on my developments. Regards Mark

[SOLVED] How do I make my if statement true or false?
predator12341 replied to pneudralics's topic in PHP Coding Help
"Is there a way to assign an if statement to some kind of variable?" now that is what makes me believe he wants a return from his if statements (but not have the if in a function) that could be done like so if(a < b) { $AA = 1; } else { $AA = 0; }
