2. I'm not sure what code it is then. Does anyone know what code it is so i can maybe find out how to code this? It is in a template that is controlled by php here is the template file <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> <HTML {$html_attrs}><HEAD><TITLE>Guitar Tunings</TITLE> <link 3. Hi I have image names inside of a mysql database ie "c-major.jpg" I am trying to get them to show up instead of just the text for them showing but I am having difficulty. The code that prints the data is as follows {BEGIN key_image_fieldcolumn}<TD class=borderbody vAlign=middle {$key_image_style}>{$key_image_value} </TD>{END key_image_fieldcolumn} {$key_image_value} is actually the code that prints the code from the database. but when i try to envelop it with an <img> tag I get errors and it does not display the image. This is what I have already tried: <img src="http://www.gtdb.org/images/key_signatures/{$key_image_value}"> It would be lovely to have the actual time signatures print out in all their glory!! Please help me Ben
 4. Can anyone tell me why my img link code, which is inside of a mysql field, does not parse as html, but outputs the actual html, like this: <img src="http://www.gtdb.org/images/key_signatures/f-sharp-major.png"> The page in question can be seen here http://gtdb.org/db/test/gtdb_MIXED_IN_list.php Thanks
 5. Im sorry the code from my previous post was from the old site. I am working on both files and posted the wrong code here is the proper code <TD vAlign=middle align=left {$artist_style}><a href="http://www.gtdb.org/?page_id=29?guitar_tunings_list.php?a=search&value=1&SearchFor={$artist_value}&SearchOption=Contains&SearchField=" target="_top">{$artist_value}</a></TD>
 6. This is the code that I am using in the artist link column <TD class=borderbody vAlign=middle align=middle {$artist_style}><a href="http://onecuts.com/music/tunings_public/guitar_tunings_list.php?a=search&value=1&SearchOption=Contains&SearchField=&SearchFor={$artist_value}">{$artist_value}</a></TD> I have also attached the main php file that is used. I forgot to post the second link on my earlier post. http://gtdb.org/?page_id=18 This is the page using php to try and include the file http://www.gtdb.org/db/index.htm index simply calls up guitar_tunings_list.php which is in the same directory. I have tried also including guitar_tunings_list.php but I cant seem to get it working. Thanks Ben
 7. I need to know something But I am quite unsure of its name otherwise I would be able to find it with search. I am trying to embed php code in a page or even using an iframe so when users click content inside of the include or iframe I want the clicked lick to reflect in the address bar. Then google links will actually link to my template page and not the script directory. I currently have an iframe set up on this page http://gtdb.org/?page_id=29 If you click the link under artist you can see it nearly works but does not pass the results to the search form. all other links are using standard links that work but dont reflect the address in the bar. I have the same script set up as an include on this page but as you can see it wants to break out of the page. I am using this include code <? $a = file_get_contents("http://www.gtdb.org/db/index.htm"); echo ($a); ?> I have tried many wyas yo include but I think its something to do with the actual script thats making it jump out. Is there anything I can do? Does this make sense? Thanks Ben
 8. Hi, I have searched but cannot find a solution to this very small problem. Can anyone tell me the right way to do this? I need to declare a $variable at the top of the page. and have it print out inside link URLs. Example: $variable = ("photos"); ?> <a href="http://www.site.com/<?php $variable ?>">TEXT</a> Can anyone tell me the right way to do this? Thanks Ben
yes i did try your one. and unfortunatly it turned my date into 1970-01-02 i think my code is pretty screwed. it must be the other code in the script. i am currently trying to build a stock, sales and production database for work. its in early stages so far. i would like to show some one it so they could see what the production thing is doing wrong. i have copied it here to a folder with out pass word protection:
http://www.bristol-glass.co.uk/production/employee_prod_stats_test.php
its currently coded to your code, DrDre

To: DrDre, the strtotime() function will take a string and try to convert it into a unix time stamp, so you could pass it something like "July 21, 2006" and it will do the "right thing" Take a look at the [a href=\"http://www.php.net/strtotime\" target=\"_blank\"]manual page[/a] for it. Ken
unfortuatly i am still having the same problem. i must have other issues with the code. the dates i am looking for keep jumping to 2006-04-05. i am guessing that my code is messy or something like that?? but i know when i print $first_date it is 2005-07-21 or any other date i chose, that is in the past. thanks for the help guys. i dont know what else to try??

You was calling strtotime an extra time.
This gives me the same problem. it turns 2005-07-21 into 2006-04-05 (tomorrow) when i want it to increment to 2005-07-22. basically i want to increment, by one day, $first_date. $first_date will never be today or tomorrow. it will always in the past. thanks for your halp! 13. Guys, Thanks so much for your time. But I am still having the same problem. obsidian the $_GET['first_date'] has the date in it, which is 2005-07-21. Dan R. I will be looking into this one. I have never worked in the UNIX seconds jobby thing yet! kenrbnsn this is working, but it takes 2005-07-21 and turns it into 2006-04-05. Here exactly what I am doing. I have a simple form with two fields. I put in two dates i.e. $first_date 2005-07-21 and $second_date 2005-07-21. This accesses the production database with daily production stats for a bunch of glass blowers. It also pumps out what their bonus will be for that day. So to make it easier for my boss to work out our piece work I want a link on the page, that just increments the date, from the last page, by one day. So say I am looking at prod stats for 2005-07-21 I want to see this: [a href=\"http://www.blah.com/employee_prod_stats.php?first_date=2005-07-22&second_date=2005-07-22\" target=\"_blank\"]http://www.blah.com/employee_prod_stats.ph...date=2005-07-22[/a] But the closest I can get to it is: [a href=\"http://www.blah.com/employee_prod_stats.php?first_date=2006-04-05&second_date=2006-04-05\" target=\"_blank\"]http://www.blah.com/employee_prod_stats.ph...date=2006-04-05[/a] I really hope that makes more sense!?? Thanks a huge bunch for your help so far guys
 14. Hi. I am trying to increment a date by one day, that is already set in a variable ($first_date) in this format 2005-04-02 This is the closest I have got so far: $first_date = $_GET['first_date']; $first_date = date("Y-m-d", strtotime("+1 day")); But this to my dismay resets $first_date to today’s current date! I’m sure this is an easy task for many of you guys. But for me; it’s driving me bonkers! Thanks Ben
