[PHP Question - Storing...]

Ok i am a little stumped at the moment.

Ok lets say i have set up a MYSQL table and made a register and login script that is connected to the table, so i got a complete Register and login script made.
Now what i want is for data, that they aquire later on after they have registered, to be stored for each user into the database for each user.
Here is an example - Say it was an rpg
"Say a user/member clicked on a link to take them to a small town in a text based rpg. They then get a random event wich would say they found a bag of money, and there was 10 dollars in that bag."
So then that amount of money would be added to that users account for the RPG. Then in another part of the code, say maybe a mini profile, i can call that part with their amount of money and display it, and it keeps going up when they get more.


Maybe that was to hard to understand.

Ok its like the users post count on a forum. Each time the user makes a post it is added to the database and displayed in their mini profile.


So do you think you could show me how to do that?
I have tried but it has really stumped me.

That is very close how i had been doing it, i knew an array needed to be used to store the words but i couldent figure out that second part.

Just a quick query, while i learn about databases for PHP i am making a small script with the PHP i do know.

What i have tried but just cant figure it out though (i need for the script im making) is a randomization. Basiclly i want is to have a randomized word to output on the page onced a user has filled in some info and pressed the submit button.
Now i know how to do it all except for how to make a random word, i would like to add a fair amount of words in it.

So would anyone either post, or explain how to make a random word appear.

Ok i am currently learning PHP. I would like to end up beying good enough to code proper PHP codes like Shoutboxes, Websites, Content Management Systems and so forth aswell as just have a general knowledge of PHP.

Well i have learnt the basics of PHP like Strings, Variables... and simple stuff like that.

So basiclly i am not sure where i should go next. What i should code or what i should learn for PHP now.
I know this may kind of silly, but it is just in my general interest.
