  1. Hi, i'm new to the forum. I need some information on how PHP handles uploads. A few months ago I designed an upload tool that uses Flash to upload a file to the server. Flash uses a Server Side Script to write the file to the server. I heard that ASP.NET stores the entire file in the RAM memory before writing it to the hard drive. Somehow I thought/heard that PHP works differently and stores temporary chunks on the hard drive first, so the memory doesn't get full. So I used PHP for my application. Now I read that PHP DOES store the entire file in the memory, just like ASP.NET. Is this true? If so, my use of PHP is pretty useless, since the rest of my application is in ASP.NET. I really need an answer for this since I made this app for my internship and I'm writing a thesis of what I've done. I hope it doesn't turn out PHP can't handle large files, just like ASP.NET [img src=\"style_emoticons/[#EMO_DIR#]/unsure.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"unsure.gif\" /] Thanks in advance
