  1. hi, i was wondering if someone out there might be able to help. a while ago i set up a php/mysql web application for an employer on Mac OS X. everything was fine until recently, when they upgraded the Mac operating system to Mac OS X Server 10.4 (which also upgrades php and mysql, hence screwing up configuration somewhat). i've got php up and running, but it cant seem to find the mysql database (i expect it is looking for the new installation rather than the original). the error i get is something along the lines of: [!--fonto:Courier New--][span style=\"font-family:Courier New\"][!--/fonto--]Warning: mysql_connect(): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket ...[!--fontc--][/span][!--/fontc--] can anyone suggest a way to explicitly point php back to the correct mysql path (assuming i find it...). is it possible using the [!--fonto:Courier New--][span style=\"font-family:Courier New\"][!--/fonto--]./configure --with-mysql=.....[!--fontc--][/span][!--/fontc--] command? cheers Rich
