So hopefully if anyone can shine some light on this or have used this version before so I can get things working properly. I really like Advange File Manager because of the files listed, and the descriptions. I havn't been able to find anything better. I also would like to have it use with mySQL for added secrutiy. THe one site I have ATM up now on is not using mySQL but doesn't have the extra stuff like the one from www.hmrguild.com/phptest/ has.
just one more thing. In case your wondering where I got the script from it's at phpatm.com the bottom download line that says 6.02.05. Thanks again.

Please be advised that the PHP Help forum is for requesting help with scripts that you are writing. If you fair to get a response to your question here, it might be worth contacting the author, or looking for a forum on the site that you downloaded the script from. 3. Here is the deal. I downloaded the full version of 6.02.05 Beta (based on v1.30 % Mr Scrito’s R* ^ other mods’s). I got it up and running with me as the admin. I then proceeded to copy my files directory to this one from www.hmrguild.com/X3Reunion/. It lists them all in www.hmrguild.com/phptest/ once you are logged in. You can log in as username test and pass as test If I click on the blue down arrow to download a file, it comes up as description as “ and size as 4 KB. Doesn’t matter what the file is. Now they download off your 1.30 version just fine from the first site I listed above. I like the custom one because of the added security and enchancements. But not this download enhancement. Would you have any idea why the files are showing up as that. I have even tried to upload my own file the does the same thing. It looks as if the mySQL is set up right. Since if I log into globat and go to the phpmyadmin it has the userlist and the correct list of information that’s listed in the readme file in the zip. I got it from phpatm.com where it says Custom Releases Full Version: 6.02.05 Beta (based on v1.30 & Mr Scrito's r* & other mod's) (Imagerar, 176kb) So, I am not sure what’s going wrong here. If you can help that’ll be great. p.s. it seems if I also move my files and folders into the public_downloads directory they do not show up. They are supposed to if if I chose to place them in that folder without loggin in. But they show up if you do log in if you were to log in now. You can log in as test for the username and test as the password. Thanks for your help. I did email the author to see if he can help but since the latest update was last year I'm not to sure about that. When users are set to normal use, files do not show up. Part of that in the 1st post was an email to the author so don't mind it. This version is modifeid using php and mySQL. I'm sure I it setup correct. If not let me know. in the conf.php file I editied it and it shows in there as: // // mysql db information // $db = 'X3Scripts'; $db_pass = 'yodadude'; $db_user = 'drago'; $db_host = 'localhost'; mysql_connect($db_host,$db_user,$db_pass) or die( "Could not connect to the mysql $db db"); mysql_select_db($db) or die("Could not select the $db db."); I created teh database though globat.com with those paramaters that you see above. I treid to make them all match. Just checked in mySQL database under phpmyadmin and the user accounts that I created show up in there. So I know that part is working.
