Cross Compiling

Hi all, I'm new and I'm trying to cross compile PHP 5.1.4 for the ColdFire MCF5474. I'm having difficulties and I would appreciate it if anyone can give me some directions for doing a cross compile. I'm currently stuck on make, it might be a compiler issue? But none the less, if any one has successfully cross compiled PHP before, please help.
