But the statistic or counter sites aren't in the client site and they can get the screen resolution somehow. Do you know how they do it?

I'd like to know how statistics sites get my screen resolution. The problem is that the statistic script that I have to include in my site, runs on other domain so doesn't have access to cookies related with my site. So, I cant't simply set a cookie in javascript and then read the $_COOKIE with the php script.
