Macromedia Fireworks 8 , settings to save it?

i converted to gif and it showed up white on both IE and Firefox?

Hey... I started upon this layout today and i always use FireFox but when i showed someone else they said the images looked terriable with the white background, so i looked myself to see that the png image never layered with IE does anyone know how i can resolve this????? http://img161.imageshack.us/img161/2783/grrrrryw9.jpg
