  1. Please note, may be NSFW, in general, it isn't too offensive, some blood, very minor nudity. It is a wordpress, but highly customized. http://www.bloodylexicon.com Mostly, I am looking for comments on the layout of information. Does it seem to flow well and easy to navigate? If I were to integrate advertisements into it in the future, how could I do so without it being overwhelming? (will still be awhile) Any ideas to improve the site are appreciated. Thanks!
  2. I am trying to make it so my side bar spans the same length as the body of my site. Is there an easy way to do this in css? I tried 100%, but that only spans 100% of the browser page and not all the way down. http://www.bloodylexicon.com/
  3. You need to do something about the font under web design and graphic design, it doesn't match the rest of the site. I would also change fonts for the main area. It doesn't fit everything else. Find a font similar to "Freelance Web and Graphic Design". Also your banner repeats on high resolution, you need to fix it.
  4. If anyone has ever seen ultimatenichecreator or whatever it is, I am looking for the way they did their newspage, by just specifying a keyword and syndicating the news articles.
  5. Looks nice, the only questionable thing I had was the "late deals" heading. Do you mean latest deals? Or is there some vacation lingo that I am missing?
  6. I would consider recreating the banner or at least polishing it. It seems like you had fun with the fragment feature in photoshop a little too much. I like the C's you use next to each forum header, maybe if you could create the banner to imitate that, it would look nice.
  7. thanks, I'm still working on it so I am not really sure what stage you saw it at. I like the way it looks right now in firefox but there are some issues in IE that I am trying to fix, such as it won't resize very nicely in IE and the footer is having some problems. Any comments on http://bloodylexicon.com/list.php ? Like the css boxes for each type or no?
  8. I agree. Email would be very intensive to have spammed with that, I guess if you created an account just for that, but output to a file or a DB would be ideal. The site itself looks nice though.
  9. I definitely see where it would be a stretch and I appreciate your feedback. You don't have to be a pro web designer to give feedback, sometimes its better to get it from those who are not, because they will be the type of people that actually navigate your site. Does anyone know the easiest way to center the entire site?
  10. Thanks for the feedback. Is there a very simple way to center the entire site within CSS? I have tried looking into this but I didn't see an easy way to do it. I agree that the theme may seem a little strange. The original title of the website was going to be vampirenation so the banner fit it better, but the domain was taken and I decided to expand it to deal with many of the different genres related to it. I think it still fits, it kinda shows the whole macabre thing interacting with society, but maybe it could use some work. I am trying to avoid the whole cliche red and black thing so it doesn't look clichie? ^ ^
  11. I agree with some other comments about the navigation bar. It looks "out of the box" html using default font and spacing. You should eliminate the double spacing and change the font/color to something that matches the slick look of the rest of the site.
  12. Hi guys, please critique http://www.bloodylexicon.com for me. In general I am looking for comments on the banner, layout and content placement. Right now the content is lacking because it is still in development. The front page is kind of bare right now, and I am looking on ways to improve, perhaps with a news feed of some sort. Any ideas on useful plugins that would be helpful? Any constructive feedback in appreciated. Thanks!
  13. Hi guys, I am looking for a few plugins that are really simple to implement in php. First I need a plugin that can scan news articles and return those relevant to the keyword I set it up to, and secondly I need one that can do a similar feature for youtube. Ideally I would be able to limit results to maybe 5 of the most current articles and 10 of the most current videos, with multi-paging abilities. Do you guys have any idea of what are the best ones? Just wanted to add I use raw php, not wordpress or anything like that.
  14. One last chance at bump, any advice is really appreciated. I mean.. anything. lol.
  15. if($username_correct && $password_correct) { session_register('username'); header('Location:http://**********.com/privatedata.php'); } Correct me if I am wrong but don't you have to do something like if(($username_correct == "true") && ($password_correct =="true")) With or without the quotes. I am not too positive on how booleans are read and created in PHP. Also you should store $user="************"; $password="**********"; $database="**********"; mysql_connect("*************" ,$user,$password); @mysql_select_db($database) or die( "FATAL ERROR"); in a seperate file and use an include function
