  1. Hi all, I'm a newbie to php and i've downloaded and installed wamp5 (that's all i've done, not gone into config files). I've decided to use php designer as my editor. here's the problem: when i create a php file, then save it to the wwwroot in the wamp folder i'm unable to preview it in php designer. Instead it asks me if i would like to save or open the file. Howevr, when i open a browser and type in the localhost follewed by the php file name, the browser displays it fine. why can't i preview it in the designer anyone??
  2. Hi all, I'm a newbie to php. i've installed wamp5 and all seem to be running well. when i set up a site in dreamweaver in the wwwroot folder and make the local host connection everything is fine; i can preview php files no probs. But when i try to connect to mysql database it prompts me for a password which i don't seem to remember setting up. i have created a mysql database with some tables in it, but i can't seem to connect. it would make sense that i do need a password, but where do i set this up?
  3. Hi all, i'm new to PHP. i've downloaded wamp5, started all services, uninstalled IIS (to be on the safe side) and i have a problem. When i type into my browser a file that is in wamp/www root for e.g http//:localhost/index.php, it displays the file i put there correctly. However, when I try to open the site in dreamweaver, ever though I've made all the connections, i can't seem to preview the php files. It allows me to open them in dreamweaver, but when i hit f12 it asks me ifi want to open or save the file. very strange. What am i doing wrong anyone??
