1. [!--quoteo(post=370301:date=May 1 2006, 11:09 AM:name=fenway)--][div class=\'quotetop\']QUOTE(fenway @ May 1 2006, 11:09 AM) [/div][div class=\'quotemain\'][!--quotec--] You only need a CRON per se if this a regular, schedule pull. Otherwise, a one-off script can handle this easily.
I am not sure what you are talking about. I have not used CRON yet. Which I now I need to learn it but i have yet to have time. It seems I get forced in to learning things when I have to. Maybe you can direct me to good tutorital or explain what u mean a little more. I do catch on pretty fast. FYI: yes, i will be retrieving the file on a regular base at the same date and time each day or week. Thanks
 2. I am needing to retreave a file from another website and insert the text into my database (MYSQL). I know that I need to use "CRON" to do this but I have no clue where to start. Can any one help me with this or point me to a tutorial. Thanks
