  1. New install of apache 2.2 and php 5.2.4 on a lap top that has NT running. Configured httpd.conf in apache and php.ini files. I reviewed both files a number of times and both look ok. .php executes in a dos command window ok. /localhost/index.html (ok no problems with .html) Problem... On the server, /localhost/Example.php input, is prompted for not knowing about .php file and points browser to php.exe. When selected and initiate, it runs in a dos window in a wink of the eye and closes. I can not figure-out this problems. It should execute in the server window.- right The question is how to have Windows know that it is a PHP file. Yes, I configured environmental variables Path: c:\php and PHPRC also c:\php Any suggestions Thanks, Joe A. LaVery User- JLavery_100
