Also, instead of using the right side to tell people what you've done on your site, because no one probably cares, you should expand the center a bit more or drop some headline links there. If you want to tell people your updates then have a separate link.

I'm a 22 year old college student (graduating this semester whoohoo!), who is trying to find a job.  I've been on my intern for about 6 months doing web design and I've fallen in love with PHP. 

Also, your header doesn't go with your website topic. It has a picture of a pile of rocks. Maybe something more relevant.
