hello i am using <hr/> in my code, however, in firefox and chrome, it shows no vertical space, while in IE8, it shows a LOT of vertical space under and above the <hr/> i have tried the padding, margin, to set to 0, but no success.. any workarounds ? this is how the problem looks : http://eventy.ch/event_view.php?event_id=1 it is the menu of the event on the RIgHT, i have 9 <hr> tags, and they look good on firefox and chrome, but try it with IE8 and you'll see the problem :-/ anyone ?

SOLVED! i thought i could use the overflow : hidden with SPAN as well, but i guess on firefox it works only with DIV's , while on IE8, it works on div's and span's but no td's thanks a lot for help !

great, it is working ... but only on IE FIREFOX and CHROME are still the problem. any other solution ? here is the example : http://eventy.ch/events.php?category=all u can see that CINEMA RIALTO LOCARNO is more then the 55px i've set up for height however, in IE it is showin good!

hello simple question but yet impossible for me to find a solution : i have a php script, that shows me data in TABLE , so in the end, i have let's say, 10 rows in 10 tables... however, the data(text) inside of each text is of different size, and according to that, my TD is changing it's height. I did put the td height = 100, but the text that php generates, makes the TD higher. How could i make the TD height FIXED, no matter what amount of content there is in the TD??

hmm, to change the green color to lighter would be problematic cz i would need to change the whole set of graphic icons, buttons etc.. But yea, i will make the text bigger! thanks

What text color do you suggest me ? White wouldnt look good, maybe black ? For the scrolling box, i have put the scrolling and not fading, because mainly i have just ONE event scrolling through there.... Wow, great site for color schemes. I realised i could use a pinkish red for links, it does look really good !¨ Thanks so much. anything else ? maybe under EVENT section ?

You can retry now, i fixed thewhole problem

p.s. don't mind the warnings in EVENTS page part, i will correct it tonight(need to update tables in mysql on my server)

it is a flash intro, just a little image ! it works well on many pc's and with all explorers...
