Afternoon All, I am an IT Recruiter in South Florida with several years in the staffing & recruiting industry. In addition, I am a newbie developer. In addition to that, I will begin writing for an online OpenSource Mag within the next few weeks. So, I am interested to hear everyones thoughts on the state of the OpenSource Market. I downloaded and fully installed XXAMP then wrote some basic html/php code, saved it in htdocs with the php file extension, then tried to open it with my browser.....no dice...it comes up blank. any input..sorry for the newbie question.

New to development, mysql, php.... I am self teaching form a book that says I need to install a connector for php/mysql. I've downladed the latest versions of both but cant find the .dll files that the book mentions to download. Any pointers?
