I realize this topic is probably dead, but I thought I would throw in this little tidbit.
I read an article in PC Magazine about this subject not long ago. According to Dvorak, and alot of other places, Google's time may be drawing to an end. There are other search engines that are eagerly waiting to take over Google's lead. And with the problems they've been having of late, I wonder how much longer it will be.
One engine that wasn't mentioned in the article, but I've heard will be "the next google" is A9, from Amazon (yes, Amazon). Will this solve the problems? I doubt it, I imagine that soon it will be as much fun to worry about as designing for 15 different browsers that each are broken in one way or another.
