    Hello, and thanks in advance for your help! I posted a different version of this question in the CSS forum, but have not received any response after several days, so I thought I would try posting it here. I have a website with a Vertical Tree Side Menu, that is based off of the Open Cube "QuickMenu". I have altered it to work for my needs, and all slide downs (accordian style) are working properly, however I can't seem to get it to auto expand the sub menu upon page load. For Example, if i have Menu 1 , 2 , and 3 and I mouser over menu 1, it will slide down and reveal submenu 1. If you click on the Submenu 1 button, I want the submenu 1 to still be expanded when you actually navigate to the submenu 1 page / link.     I am using an edited, but basically intact version of Open Cube's Hover tree menu. The original can be found here: http://www.opencube.com/quickmenu/gallery/hover_tree_green.html I am trying to figure out if there is anyway to fake a mouseover upon page load, so that when the Contact us Page is loaded, the Contact us tab on the side menu automatically drops down and shows it's contents as though a hover / mouseover had been made. Basically an Insert Mouseover. I have looked a bit on this subject, and it seems like there should be a more simple solution than the few that I have seen. Any ideas?

    Yes, I meant PHPMYADMIN. The Server is Apache. What is odd though is that IE loads them just fine, however mozilla comes back with a Forbidden error. The actual folders on my computer (as I am testing locally) are not read / write protected either.

    In PHPADMIN, I have granted every user full access / privileges, and as this is currently locally hosted, I have made sure that the actual folders are open as well, is there another area besides PHPADMIN where I need to check permissions?

    I am thinking that it is a local server side issue, as I received it when using a local testing server before any modifications were done to the site. I assumed it would clear up when the whole site was uploaded to our host. Speaking of this, I am also not able to view any of the gallery images (which should be populating in the results tables (on the second image I uploaded here), and even more strange, when surfing to the "Click Here to view Complete Donor Profile" link, a separate page opens up displaying a PDF file. Internet explorer opens up the file perfectly, but Mozilla gives a "Forbidden You don't have permission to access /csed/pdf/1301.pdf on this server" I have looked everywhere server side to correct this but can't seem to eb able to find anything. I am wondering if this is at all related to the error message you commented about. Again, I just assumed that these would clear up when uploaded to the original server. Is this thinking wrong?     Thanks for taking the time to explain. I was understanding you correctly, but worked around it a bit differently, but pretty much the same in principal. I have every page working but one. The method I have been using, has been to have my basic html page, which sets the headers, and overall formatting through css. I am then using inclusion commands to attach the Php code to the page, and have places the inclusion php where I would like the output to appear. So for this example, it would be in the right box. This has worked with every page but one, and it seems resistant to any changes to formatting that I am making. It seems like there is something inside the PHP that is forcing the formatting, but that just doesn't seem right to me. The only problem is I am trying to get the eco responses to appear into my right box sub. Instead the page loads and looks fine, but the eco responses appear at the very bottom of the page over the background image rather that the right box content box.     Ok, I think I found a fix for this, and would like to throw it up for others, and also to make sure I have not inadvertently disabled anything important. There are 2 troublesome lines in my .htaccess file. The Apache Error log says: Invalid command 'RewriteEngine', perhaps misspelled or defined by a module not included in the server configuration pointed to a problem executing the "RewriteEngine On" command on the first line of my .htaccess file. The fix for this was to remove the # for the line: LoadModule rewrite_module modules/mod_rewrite.so in my httpd conf file. This solved the rewrite issue. Then I moved onto my .htcaccess file and began removing each # section to diagnose if there were any other problems going on. I was able to run the entire file aside from one line. The line reading: #RewriteRule .*\.(jpg|jpeg|gif|png|bmp|pdf)$ csedinc.com [R,NC] can't be run or else photos are not displayed on the site. I believe this is a security feature to prevent unauthorized use of photos, but I am not sure. Everything else is working well, and the test server is running as it should. Should I be concerned about this last line which can't be engaged? Thanks

    Ok, In order for me to not get a 500 server error, I had to add a # to the first line rewrite engine on. Then every section aside from the Deny line above section one cause it to crash.

    Hi, I have just be given (told) that I will be the new in house website designer and manager for my company, and the kicker is, I have never created a website in my life. I am the type of person that reads as much on a subject as I can, and searches everything I can on forums before asking, but I am really overwhelmed here and stumped. I have almost the entire website designed, however I am trying to set up a local test server to actually use the live view feature of Dreamweaver cs4, and check to see if my database is working as it should. I have installed Wamp, and put all my site pages and info in the folder c:/wamp/www/mysite. However whenever I try to get to my index.php in the mysite subdirectory (http://localhost/mysite) I get a 500 Internal Server Error. I have troubleshooted this every way that I know how, however, I just can't seem to get the information that I need. Any insight would be greatly apprechiated. Could my company's SonicWall be causing the problem? Thanks, Ryan

    Thanks everyone again, as it turns out, we ended up having to threaten legal action, and suddenly our database became available again. Anyway, I am starting a redesign (as a complete novice) and have been spending ridiculous amounts of time learning everything that I can. I'm sure you will be seeing more of me. Hopefully one day, i will be able to answer a few questions rather than just a ask them all the time.
