Hi guys, As a uni student i have to reference alot and my uni has its own prefered system. I would like to make referencing as easy as possible. http://library.scotch.vic.edu.au/research/biblios/ScotchBib/index.htm has a neat system that makes referencing quite easy. My question is how would i start the coding. When the form is sent all it does is string together the inputed text and numbers. What would this code look like and how could i display it in a 'Select All' Box?

I think phpbb does have that....just have to find out how to use it.

Just thought i would put my 2 cents in. Wolfram may be able to do what your talking about but i doubt a person without and indepth knowledge of derivatives will now whats going on. You have standard derivatives +-*/. Then you get equations that attempt to get a value close enough to the real derivative, taylor and maclaurine series. Then you get laplase transforms that require you to change the values to something else then change them back again. I have alot of notes on this on my website if you are keen h1vem1nd.org. I got 93% for uni maths last semester and can assure you unless there is a magical inbuilt feature in php, this is going to be a nightmare for you. Just deriving Sin(2x3) can be a mission if you dont know where to start. So hit up the notes i have and see if they help.

Hi guys, Im looking for a site or perhaps source i could download that makes html code that i can insert into my site. Something automatic just like the one for the phpbb with its bbcodes. Anyone know anything that sounds like this?

I enjoy it quite alot. From the quick once over i gave it i couldnt see any issues. Other that the fact that if a section didnt have an item the table still appeared. I would sort that out.

Looks really nice. Its both clear and in my opinion non-cluttered to the point where i couldnt be bothered reading the text. My Critique: 1] Change MediaSofa logo to the correct and correlating orange used elsewhere in your site. i.e. The search button. 2] Justify your text so it sits better on your page. Nothing worse than sentences that end mid sentence or don't go all the way to the end. 3] Don't use the word bespoke in place of custom or custom made. Its annoying, makes you sound like a stooge. Custom made sounds better in any case. Other than the three above, i have no other issues. Perhaps just a suggestion. Make your portfolio pics a bit larger.

I like how your site looks. Colours go well with each other, but you should be haul into the streets and shot for three things. "Our bespoke web design agency creates effective, stylish & bespoke web development, logo design, seo services and affordable website design packages from only £250!". Pls never you words like bespoke, custom sounds infinitely better. I do alot of engineering reports and its best to make sure that Joe Average can understand what your trying to say. I would also suggest telling your would be clients what SEO means. Number two. As your rotating text bar at the top goes through there is a "hidden" link to the quote page. I would suggest slowing down the pace of the change and making the text a different colour or underlining it. Number three. Refer to the attached image. When going to the quote page the drop down menu becomes visible and stays that way till page is loaded. This is not the same for your index. Other than these, no issues with your bespoke site. Yeah the image is def out of proportion. I would fix that...other than that i cant see an issue. Looks well done with the correct amount of colours. Also looks easy to use. Other than the malware, seems alright.

Is there going to be a link back to your site embeded in the form, do you get and embed code, or is it hosted on your site. I think a from basics tut site would be better personally. With live previews of code.

Most of the ppl on here are more coders than designers, with exception of 1, and thats perhaps what they should have on their portfolios. They should be charging ppl to write the lines of code they cant. Have a look at Andy-H...he addressed an issue i had in 10 minutes. And its something that was simple for him but i couldnt achieve without knowing php myself. Now if you asked me to show you Laplace Transforms and O.D.E's i would be able to help haha. Web designers are normally a packaged deal. If your portfolio was to showcase your ability to write code, i would say strive for the most interactive site out. I reckon the guys on here should start a site to freelance sort codes to ppl. Charge $10 for a simple code and im sure heaps of ppl would be interested. Perhaps even implement code for $20. That sort of money for help is cheap, even to young ppl. And its not like it would take long to do.

Agreed with which part? I honestly dont believe in having individuals interacting with a portfolio. Its there to be scoured over, and to some extent critisised. I think the extent of interaction should be kept to the contact me if your interested part. Most ppl with money, will go with a well know company http://www.designchapel.com , others(your targets) are probably the older individuals or ppl with no clue who have companys they want to expose on the net. So interaction is probably best kept to a minimum. I believe adopting the stance that anyone that goes to your site is probably a webtard, is the way to go. My forum for instance has tutorials on how to add attachments to post(which to me seems ridiculous) because ive had individuals ask me how. Design Chapel is a really well known advertising company and they use wordpress...perhaps you should do the same. Looks pro, customable, You can showcase your work, add useful modules. Ever thought about it?

That sites awesome...the myspace types will love this. 1 Critisism. I went to add an orange outline and i believed it to be for the avatar. So i would change the discription to Text Outline Colour. Plus the second last thing i would suggest is. The ability to add those special effects like sparkles and such. Give girls this ability nd they will go wild. Lastly i would add an EMBED or download feature. Let them upload to your server and give ppl an embed code they can use to embed on their sites and forums. Then add your own little slide across banner like the google ads banner.

They might have a site dedicated to help but there is none. I literally had to make my own music mod there because they wouldnt help.

The issue about the announcement isnt that bad...because the image will link to the anounce.php page...and that page will have the last 5-10 announcements. Dont suppose you know anything about how to connect to the phpbb database do you? Ive been searching around but i dont know what the user database is called.
