I saw a new way of handling forms using javascript as an ajax object. Instead of the form having a submit button, it has just a button with an onclick method that shows the followinf code :
new Ajax.Updater('container', 'processform.php', {asynchronous:true, parameters:Form.serialize('form'), onSuccess: endSend})
This script sends the form contents of form to a processform php script and i'm trying to do the same with my normal form. I was confused by the function form.serialize('form') and i was wondering if someone could tell me why this is used? If i used this with a php script do i call the values using $_POST['Var1'] or does the serialize send it in a way that needs specific server side processing?
Thanks in advance
