  1. Thanks Nightslyr, I really do appreciate your help. There is light at the end of the tunnel
  2. Ok, all the galleries are up and running now. Let the Black & White one load there are 94 photos in that one. Further to what i said last entry, what i would actually like to do is when someone clicks on the main photo, instead of opening another browser or another tab. I would like it to pop up as an overlay type image. by itself with just a close option on it. Is that possible? Just incase you forgot or dont want to scroll back to the begining, the site is www.davids-photography.com Thanks
  3. Hi Again, Been abit busy with work the last couple of weeks, but i have managed to put up a gallery i like, its an image flow gallery. You can have a look at it under the Art Nude link on the galleries page. It does work in IE but not as good as the other. The only thing i would like to do now though, is make it so when you click on an image to look at it full size, that it opens up in a new browser or tab. Any thoughts on what the code should be for that? I will work on getting all the galleries up and running by the end of the week. Thanks again for all your help guys, i really do appreciate it. David
  4. Actually your right i can get it to work when i click just outside the image. Interesting.
  5. Hi again guys, I have found a gallery i like. I have set up the Portraits gallery working with it at the moment. Please tell me what you think. One issue, and sadly it is a big issue, IE doesnt like jQuery by the looks of it. The images load one over the other but they do not do what they are suppose to do. Is there a way around this, either with some special code to make IE work or can i put something into the code, so if it sees that its IE they are using it can redirect to another url? If i can do the latter one i will redirect them to the original gallery i built. Thanks
  6. Hi Thezodiac, Thank you for your input, greatly appreciated. As for the 404 errors, i did have links going to older galleries, but i have turned them off while make better ones. I am not sure what you mean by "On HD resolution you got a very wide website menu on the left content at the right." Yes i know i have to cut down the title, i got abit carried away Thanks again.
  7. Awesome, The reset fixed up the menu font and size, and i found out where i went wrong with the header. So all fixed now, works in IE 8 atleast, which is fine by me. I have put a line in to hopefully make them upgrade if they are using less than IE 8 Thank you again. I do believe it is taking shape.
  8. Ok i have made some changes, moved the header in and down abit, corrected spelling lol It works great in Firefox, chrome and Opera, but IE doesnt like it for some reason, i am not sure why. The menu fonts and the header are all over the shop. For the moment i have turned off the actual galleries and contact page, so only the 4 main pages are working, home, about, gallery and links Thanks
  9. lol thanks Andy. To be honest only been testing in Firefox, but will definitely test in all of them now. Thanks again guys, i have seen a couple of things i need and will fix up.
  10. Hi Nightslyr, Thanks for your comments, i too noticed the about page being spread too far apart when i uploaded it. Definitely didnt look like then when i tested. I will have a look at the gallery id too thank you. I guess it always pays to run a spell check over your work, no matter how good or bad your coding is, Thanks again, hopefully it is getting there. Still looking for a gallery i like, that will come though.
  11. Sorry, save you looking all the way up the top again. www.davids-photography.com
  12. Hi again, If anyone is interested, i have redesigned my site. I will be straight up and honest with you, i found a site I liked and copied its layout. I did make some changes to it, so its not a total rip off. Only the home, about, galleries and links pages have been changed. I am still looking for an image gallery that i like. Anyway let me know what you think. Thanks heaps David
  13. I have had a look at some flash galleries, and have to say, Flash is well over my head and knowledge levels, but thanks. As i said i am a total newbie, my knowledge of web site design and building would probably fit only just in my left ear, so i am open to all critiques, both good and bad. Learning is what its all about. I will keep looking at different galleries, and see what one takes my fancy. Thanks again for your help.
  14. Hi guys, I am in Sydney Australia, and i was wondering if anyone could recommend somewhere i could go and get some good hands on basics for PHP and jQuery? I have looked through forums and read some books, but i am the sort of person who needs some hands on experience to help it sink in. Any help or directions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks David
  15. Thanks guys for all your input i greatly appreciate it. I am having a really good look around and will redo the whole thing. After stepping back and looking at it constructively myself, instead of just patting myself on the back for a job well done, lol I can see there is room for alot of improvement. I do have one question though, what would be the best type of image gallery for alot of images? Thanks again guys. David
