  1. How does the database store that automatically without adding it in the insert?
  2. I am trying to join a views table which holds the number of times a page has been viewed. I'm trying to return two things, the total views for each page / location and the total trending views over the past month for the same result set. My query is: SELECT a.location_id, a.location_type, a.total_views, b.location_id, b.location_type FROM (SELECT views1.location_id, views1.location_type, COUNT(views1.location_id) as total_views FROM views as views1 GROUP BY views1.location_id, views1.location_type ) as a, (SELECT views2.location_id, views2.location_type FROM views as views2 GROUP BY views2.location_id, views2.location_type ) as b GROUP BY a.location_id, a.location_type But that outputs... http://awesomescreenshot.com/0e7wg8q5b Notice that the location_id and location_type columns should be the same. I'm not sure why there aren't. Any ideas?
  3. Wow.... GET does have the img_id. This makes no sense to me though. Can you explain why this happens?
  4. Correct, it is returning empty. Do you know how I get the data? The parameters are being passed in according to firebug.
  5. Yes, I have verified the condition is being met.
  6. Why would I have to print $_GET? It's my $_DELETE that is empty.
  7. Is that really the case? My if($_SERVER['REQUEST_METHOD'] == 'DELETE') is met. Surely, there must be a way to use this.
  8. I am sending a DELETE request in backbone using: this.model = new domain.city.delete_photo.Model(); this.model.url = "/assets/ajax/delete_image.php?img_id="+id; this.model.id = id; this.model.destroy({ "success" : this.success, "error" : this.error }); And that sends a DELETE request to the server with the URL something like: http://localhost/ass...ge.php?img_id=9 The problem is, I can't seem to access the img_id. In my ajax file I have: $_DELETE = array(); if($_SERVER['REQUEST_METHOD'] == 'DELETE') { parse_str(file_get_contents('php://input'), $_DELETE); } print_array($_DELETE); Why doesn't this work? The array returns empty!
  9. When I upload an image through ajax using uploadfiy, I get a strange response. The odd thing is that this works perfectly on localhost using MAMP, but makes this strange post variable in the ajax call. Is this a php problem, a server problem or an uploadify script problem and how can I solve it? This is what is under the POST section of firebug for the ajax call: ---------------------------1351958534096 Content-Disposition: form-data; name="Filedata[]"; filename="Screen Shot 2012-10-28 at 9.39.10 PM.png" Content-Type: application/octet-stream PNG  IHDRËõ¬iCCPICC ProfileX Yy<ß÷¿Ï<³0Ö1Ènìû%û¾gß+}»JY¢$Z$¡RI¢"KR*Z$²DI$ ßÕ§>Ï÷·ü÷{^¯ç>ï9÷ÜsÏ=çnç|©ÑÑv"i±t'c§0p@êmäà`þÏçë@Ö+(¬Ëú?Ùþ÷ R@`?¬öñø2h³4=ܺ<ñØèu|bN:TâÊuün^Ç~áÞ_<.N&gf*ˤSâý¡Vfð´PlFXß?/äZÇ9KûýKNð¿0ê÷·L*5øoü×X`KرihLt5é×ÿÏ"2"Úë×#KæpgøåvKô§9CÌqnH íozUt¬±Óozkh¬ÄçiH¥ëo<îj±¤²YçvÂðÐüìì!æXÜ?ÆÚ~½/FrûoÛ@S3á,ÂxУþðÄÄ;ÿ¡''Øýá£Z¯ûògSéýÒSa±Þ¯(¤×EÇ:¬ë¹Þ×CZÝï±`Æèæë<ëôÀ_ã]×-$6ÄÅÒ¡Î({,Ýe 5·ê*Ð-ÿÐ £#~ÍiØu¡Ç9ÛAâ @ëº ×éÙTÓuÛB %ÀP?@?Ø`ú»¤@: ÒüA/Âö§7{{{Á½øC-óPñ_²þÕÒA2ø¥?½aù°úX¬-, á«ÕÂnúS÷pæêÌü[×`ØVá·lãßÚÇÿ[{Ð4úkã÷wÿ©9þá\«<üýOûF7Ãâ-ñæxtz íAÛÑ»h+zPÐh3Ú¶ãßzýé )ëVY·p°Vq¿~Ñþô÷Vûã·VYVuà[Ñ@8¬ý»·_Zþ)qÃöymþöÇo½°ÐºêXc¬´3´1Ë°¡Å°Ðêúÿs4 èµã%LÂqDÆ&ƹL¢¢è¡Á!±#¸[ÊS¬hþòUeU°¾÷®ó°àôkOE¸ûþ¡« >çºÔ?´Ðã\ë°ý$\¬íÜÍ÷£Çÿ%»þÁÁ] ® ^ Ä4´*Ð:Àk`\'ðs8DBÀN 2ÁpE T³à<hWA+hÝà>xW`L`|«ð"Â"¨"Z>bØ"N'â#4$Ù¤##Hr©A."×vä.òy"ÓÈgdb1A$F £1ÂØ`\0Û0ÁídL&S)ÇÔa0íûgÌÌ" P&AP-ÔµG½Ð ¦ ÙhZÖ£-p.>AGÐtDZ¬ô¤%ÖëÝMÁæ`°g±MØNìì(vûÇÀÉá´qV8\0.+ÀUá®àºàzÀ}ÅãñÜx)¼&íø0ü|þ$¾ÿ?_$¼9Á@%Ä2 'u~Âá0*9!¡áà ~w«ìÚöIy-}«DQ¨Gt!SÄzbq¸ÀÄÄ$Ê´É)iS!Ó¦;L£LËÌ̲Ì&Ì[ãs«o1¿`^`aad1dñbeÉe©a¹Í2Ìò̪ÈjÅÀºµµµuMÍÍ-í[Û;#»$» ;=½ýû û"LR!Ù"I9¤s¤»¤)$GGGÇm12J#ýÉéäJryÏ)ÅiÅÆyó<çCÎ9.®\n\\Å\m\#Ü(·$·www#÷÷ÊÁ F7ìßP¿¡Ã?!O O6OÏ3^ ¯o8ïaÞ«¼¯ù°|²|| |§øºøfø9ùuøýù³ùù_ `dvTô , ZF¼-8#Ä-d(&/tChZ,¬/*/|Sø=bD R:)s"""q"§E¬Jº¦6¾#iåuÍoß)^+þRQBK"Dâ¸DĤ¤»däUÉ)))+©d©Z©!iiéíÒåÒOeð2Z2á2'eÉbdÕeCdeûä0rr¡r'åËãä7ÉÓäËåâjF¹mÓ¯*Î*+y)VêQú©¬®¡\©üJCÅZ%M¥E峪¬ª¿j±êS55sµÝjÍjóå6n<µñ¹:Y}³zzú M ºF½Æ´¦¸¦¯fæ §VÖM¸MÆvojÝ´¬¡«Ý¨ýIGA'\çήn n¥î¨Uï´Þ>EßW¿LÄ@ÄjPnðÖPÌ0À°ÊðQQѬ±²1Ýøñ¶É.[¦¨©i¶éC33W³"³asQó`óZó9u·,q6-üj¬æ¬5wYwÚ0Û8ÛÙ¼µµ¥Û¶lÆl¶Þ|tóÍîª=°·²?jÿÚAÊa»ÃuG¼£c±ã¤ÓN§g²³ó9ç¯.Æ.y.¯\¥]ã\;ÜØܶºÕ¸-¹ºqñPòØåqßÏ3Ô³ÙàåæU嵸Ål˱-[Õ·fnØ&µ-qÛ]o>ïï66ªÏ%_¯»ï9ßïT{j9uÑÏʯÄoÎßÄÿ¸ÿÃüé@½À#ïôMë 1) 5 - ³+ [ ·¯_phdô¼Fã Ó:£¢£GËEgFl×Þ~lûÝ^ÄliåÜÞ8鸽q£ñúñÅñßÜ.%i½I²IûÞ%'ÙÝá¿£c§ÈÎÔ£»vNARüR:víÎØ=±ÇbÏÙTbjxê4å´#i_ÒÝÓ[23ödíµØ[ÉIÏÌÒÉ*Ýݺïá~µý'öÿÌȾw@ù@Áï9þ9÷ª,<¸û0O#ïÔ!ü!Ú¡ÃÏ!I>2vtóѦ|J~vþc>Çîl,(=N<w|¤Ð¶°ùøC'¾=+6.n((Ù_²t2àdÿ)ÃSõ¥¥JWÊB˶8ÝT.Y^P¯¯¬t«ì9£u¦¦¯ê@ÕjZõÈY§³555çÎåÕbjãj§ë¶Ö=:oz¾¹^¡þtwÃàBÜ÷}/4Ú4v\ÒºTYârÉòì&¤)©iîjÈÕfÏæÇ׬¯u´è´\¹®x½ºU¤µ¸«-ïñFƵÉ7oEßinëðéxuÛãöÓNÇÎ]6]wºÍ»o÷õܼ£w§õ®öÝk÷´î]½¯q¿©W½÷ÊõWj<lêÓìk~´éQËcÝÇ7ú úÛ>é~jõôþ3»g\nyð|êEÄùñ/W_í e¿f]0,0\þFæMÃÆHÛ¨éhï[ç·¯ÆüÇ>ÇÈd,x'ü®fJuªuÚ|úÑû-ï'>DXÉüHúX2+={ùá§Þ9¹yúüÚçÞê/¿t,:,üººý÷ÛÙeå÷w« ß ßÈühùiósh-rm-J§þº °Äð¹ÆE@dý+6úů»äØ ÙÙjÁÛÏî¾ÇÄHÜÂäÊìÈâÆêÄæÅîK á 39»¸I¶ðTñÎóë d ¾V¦¤<Ox-¥-](óUÎEþ²"Rò¨ªZ£ºF¦æ§M.Úº¢zûôg ®ð&½°Ð²<nµhãb[»yÌì`äétܹÝeÒè.ãaîéíEß¾õжbïÓ>U¾g©Õ~Õþ§í¦xÚéËEðG2E®Ð¦£G÷l¿J¯)Ýïàh$¼a²cfçà®öºÝÇ÷¤¦F¦y¤d(îåËÄeÎg í»³ÿrvÙórsórå>xäÀÑ}ùiÇvÄ(ô;áVdU¬S"RàÓ©Òɲ§/Vì¬ô;cY¥XÍY½zömͽskêÒÎGÔ»6\¹H¾ø³qêÒËÍWJö\õo6»&ÕÂÐ2u½§õL[ê75o±ßnoï(¼Më4éâíï~ÔséNÁÝä{Þ÷{¥°>X|8Ô×ù¨îñ±þ'ÁOi ².=}Ñÿ²ãUãPùëÃÃ{ÞDlµ~«>F'x1yó]åTÖtøûÍgg?ÍÒÃÍ Î×}ÎXðýb´(ñí륹oSËoWÞ®}üññçµµ_þ7áJè,¶w&(2p1¼cì&V1å0dzø°Z²i²H?ÉJÞ\ùܽ<(¯&_ÿi×B|Â\^1¢¸Ä^É»Ò2Ö²¹rOC®¨ ªöj'6i(h&huh3é8ëëÈF5/ꥷZ<·¶úf·%m²²WrPsÔpÒpVsQppãwgó<½liÙzzÛï->ê¾l¾ÓÔN¿2ÿ®JAÄ à[!Å¡ aáò·m´QôhÛít@s)ö`\p¼QÂÄIÕÉi;¶ìܸy×dÊÍÝ{bR=ÒôÓÅ22f÷>ÍlÉ*Û·wx¶ÃõÞµã¹wòê9dËQ|Ê1pìMÁÍãe©'¨EÆÅb%Ø=§jJÑN;«UpU|«|uæFUyuÚY¿ãs¢µhíXÝíóõé L/7bÇ/u]>s%£)àªi³ø5üµg×o´Ö´½r3üg»EæméN¾.ÖnL÷·Ù;w_߸ß×{÷Aïþ¾Ç<èþäåÓ¡gÃ#o¿|ùîÕû¡×sÃo¾,¿EÆ$Æí&&«ß½&½·ûpxæŬì§ô¹±Ï¶×Õ¾6|S[¾¾jþ}ðgèoÿ+"0'Qg,ö.¯'43¤0ZsLÌ,a¬fl"l?Ixn²,ç&.3n· a<{xñçï\æ¤(ØFåè\æ1 Ë¿ 0¨øCYDÅ\5D-{cú-æMÒÚ:º»õJôë j Oå§zKZ0ZLYvY²µ1·å´Ù|În¯a¿âÐæâ¤í´è|Á%ÜUÂõ[»«Ggª¶×ºÁÛ· zò±òE|[©É~üübUç#CdC¦B«ÂÂ)á¯#"ÝhdZ_ÔhËí¸í·é©1ú1ßc¯Å%Æ«ÇÏ'Ô''I%%½³Wnånt÷í=9p®H¤Í§·edïuËËüu}_Ö~§l¡ì÷®äì9hË;Ww(þ°ñ¶#CGkòã ×&0/â,§æ®¶§øNM6ev.(_¨¼p&»* Úà,ÿÙ¯5ýçjsêBÏ[ÔK6`Æ/ܾXÑ~)à²õí&å«RÍÂ×xZ8¯ZIm7øoJÜRm7íð¼Ó×ÕÐÝß³|roÛýÑûú6>è/{< ÿ\ö¥ÂÐæá¼Ïc»&¦ÁOÄÏFyß¾Gûÿ¯Ùú× æDÜàó0çG/,¸l½B³Þ¿Ï"xÀ³)|0»¢taé #î F×`ü8 ?dR\Qà'+F³9¹yù¢Vh4Z3 àYd¥aK°÷°Ë8ieãZqðbx|.¾ÿ I ÎÞ3H11TÁÝJ1ñ"ãQIìcâc dºÈg¦2·±°ìdyÃjÂZÃFfKaûÈîÍþdCê±L7ÙüÊ9ÏÎÍË}qÓo<e¼Ö¼K|Õü,)BÚBËÂ-]"&¢Ì¢ÏŪÄ$¬%Å¥©éj¸Ó%Ê*8+)i+«¨ÈªJªIlRÓPÕÔÑRÙ$£-¡#¦+®'¯d mhm´Õ8Ö$Ï´ ...   11. The question is... going to http://trekeffect.com shows a server list but going to http://www.trekeffect.com shows the website, why? My virtual host file: <VirtualHost *:80> DocumentRoot /var/www/trekeffect.com/trekeffect.com ServerName www.trekeffect.com ServerAlias trekeffect.com <Directory /> Options FollowSymLinks AllowOverride None </Directory> <Directory /var/www/> Options Indexes FollowSymLinks MultiViews AllowOverride ALL Order allow,deny allow from all </Directory> </VirtualHost>
  12. One other thing to note is the when I do a dig on the www and without they both return the same IP
  13. Hey guys, the domain is actually http://trekeffect.com which shows the directory structure. The thing is... my personal site, http://jasonbiondo.com has no issues. I checked the virtual hosts and both of them have the same contents. What am I missing?
  14. When I visit my URL of http://domain.com I get a directory listing files / folder in my /var/www directory structure. This does not happen when I go to http://www.domain.com Do you know why?
  15. I am in the process of trying to figure out how to build an image library of if one exists that I can already leverage without having to write a ton of code. Here is a basic list of what I am looking for: - Upload images to a folder. Login required - Resize and create thumbnails - Allowing to change the image title - Allowing to delete the image - Create/Edit/Delete albums - Ability to set a cover photo Please advise me on what I can leverage to build this fast. Thanks
  16. Apparently I needed postfix installed. Didn't know that!
  17. Running this code returned mailed not sent! What do I do? What is the issue?
  18. I'm in the process of trying to set up php generated emails. I have recently built my new server but I can't seem to get PHP to send emails. I tested the code out below but it responds with message delivery failed. <?php $to = "email@example.com"; $header = "From: {$to}"; $subject = "Hi!"; $body = "Hi,\n\nHow are you?"; if (mail($to, $subject, $body, $header)) { echo("<p>Message successfully sent!</p>"); } else { echo("<p>Message delivery failed...</p>"); } ?> The odd thing is that I also tried: if ( function_exists( 'mail' ) ) { echo 'mail() is available'; } else { echo 'mail() has been disabled'; } and it returned that the mail() is available. What can I do to get this working? Is this a server configuration issue?
  19. Below is a function to add a user to my database that signs in from facebook. What I don't understand is why my on duplicate key update isn't working. When a user signs in from facebook it continues to add in rows in the DB for that user. Please advise. public function facebook_add_user($uid, $email, $name, $oauth_provider) { $uid = (int)$uid; $email = mres(trim($email)); $name = mres(trim($name)); $oauth_provider = (int)$oauth_provider; if (strlen($email) >= 6) { $sql = "INSERT INTO `users` ( `oauth_provider`, `oauth_uid`, `name`, `email` ) VALUES ( '${oauth_provider}', ${uid}, '${name}', '${email}' ) ON DUPLICATE KEY UPDATE `oauth_uid` = VALUES(oauth_uid)"; $q = sql::q($sql); } $sql = "SELECT `id`, `email`, `name`, `oauth_uid`, `oauth_provider` FROM `users` WHERE `oauth_uid` = '${uid}' AND `oauth_provider` = 1"; $q = sql::q($sql); return sql::f_assoc($q); }
  20. Hey guys, I'm in the process of putting together a sign up form and I'm trying to figure out how to construct the page so that the user can first upload their avatar and then finish the form and create an account. Do you know how this is done logically? Do people upload the avatar via ajax and store it in some temperary folder after the photo has been uploaded? The problems is... if you're a user and you load the sign up page and upload a photo, after that photo gets upload via ajax and spit back out on the page, what happens? Does the photo get uploaded or are you just showing a desktop representation of that photo? Does the photo get uploaded when the full form is submitted? If the photo get's uploaded after an ajax call, how do you tie the uploaded photo to the signed up user after the form is submitted? Also, if the user uploads an avatar, but doesn't complete the form, how do you handle that situation? Do you know of any tutorials that outline this well? I'm essentially trying to implement the same functionality seen on pinterest's sign up form.

  22. I have added the code below to my .htaccess and have 404.php in my root directory: # ---------------------------------------------------------------------- # Custom 404 page # ---------------------------------------------------------------------- # You can add custom pages to handle 500 or 403 pretty easily, if you like. ErrorDocument 404 /404.php The problem I am having is that when I go to http://trekeffect.com/sss, that should redirect to my 404, but it doesn't. Instead I get: Not Found The requested URL /sss was not found on this server. Apache/2.2.21 (Ubuntu) Server at trekeffect.com Port 80 Do you know why?
