  1. Hello, I have a very big problem with stolen data and i don't know how to STOP that. The situation : I have a website where i spend lot of time to register events and info on events (something like www.CoolEvents.com) Users can log in and then comment events, and do others actions when logged. The PROBLEM : Someone created AN IPHONE APPLICATION that is an EXACT copy of my website, and is name CoolEvent App !!! Same infos, same comments, and you can log in via this app (parsing my site) and post comment on my website ! It's horrible for me, because 40% of my users now used this application (who earn money by displaying advertising). So i losed 40% of visitors !!! Without using legal channels, how can i STOP an IPHONE APP to parse my website or to acces to my website ? Do you know a TECHNICAL solution to prevent an APP to PARSE and then copy my website ? At least, is it possible to made it IMPOSSIBLE to log in to my website (and so be able to post comment on my site) by using this APP ? Thanks for your help !!
  2. I just started working with my first .htaccess RewriteRule because when submitting a facebook app, it must end with either a trailing slash or be a dynamic URL. My domain already is used for another project so I put my app into a sub-directory so it looks like this http://www.example.com/app/index2.html I'm trying to convert it to be in this format http://www.example.com/app/fbapp/ I can't use app's sub-directory as index.html or index.php which is already used outside of a facebook with Google Ads, since Google Ads are illegal to be used on facebook, I created a copy of the index.html called index2.html without any Google ads on it. I started messing around with .htaccess and I got it semi-working but in Google Chrome it seems to detect the URL as being a folder and starts loading the stylesheets and javascript scripts from the fake virtual directory assuming that fbapp is a directory when it should be app/file.xxx instead of app/fbapp/file.xxx Here is what I got so far I still don't understand how to use Rewrite Condionals but from my understanding if the RewriteCond is triggered it will run the line right under it, otherwise it will skip it somehow and go to the third line which works fine as long as it's not a script/image/stylesheet/etc... RewriteEngine on RewriteCond $1 !^(favicon\.ico|favicon\.png|robots\.txt|css|js) [NC] RewriteRule ^(.*)$ $1 [E=BASE:%1] RewriteRule ^fbapp index2.html [E=BASE:%1]
  3. Hello, I am writing an app and I am trying to include a feedback form. I have the form and php script written but it isn't working. Can somebody take a look at it and see if I am missing something? This is my first try at writing PHP. The form will submit via email and have five sections: name, email, city, what and comments. Submit to List Name: Email: City: What: Comments: The form shows up fine but it is the PHP I'm having trouble with. Below is the code I have so far for the HTML form and PHP file. I would like an email of the form to go to tim@akluk.com and another screen to pop up that says "Thank You" with a close button to take the viewer back to the home page. I appreciate any help I can get on getting this form to work. I am currently using Dreamweaver as my editor and I modified some code I found here: http://www.freecontactform.com/email_form.php. I am also referencing an O'Reilly book called Learning PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, & CSS. Thanks for your help! submit.htmlsubmit.php // Form HTML // "submit.html" <!DOCTYPE HTML> <html> <head> <meta charset="UTF-8"> <title>Submit to List</title> <meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width,user-scalable=no"> <link rel="stylesheet" href="jquery.mobile-1.0.css" /> <link href="jQueryAssets/jquery.ui.core.min.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css"> <link href="jQueryAssets/jquery.ui.theme.min.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css"> <link href="jQueryAssets/jquery.ui.button.min.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css"> <script src="jquery.js"></script> <script src="script.js"></script> <script src="jquery.mobile-1.0.js"></script> <script src="jQueryAssets/jquery-1.8.3.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script> <script src="jQueryAssets/jquery-ui-1.9.2.button.custom.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script> </head> <body> <div data-role="dialog"> <div data-role="header"> <h1>Submit to List</h1> </div> <div data-role="content"> <form action="submit.php" method="post" data-transition="none"> <div data-role="fieldcontain"> <label for="name">Name:</label> <input type="text" name="name" id="name" value="" required /> </div> <div data-role="fieldcontain"> <label for="email">Email:</label> <input type="email" name="email" id="email" value="" required /> </div> <div data-role="fieldcontain"> <label for="City">City:</label> <input type="text" name="city" id="city" value="" required /> </div> <div data-role="fieldcontain"> <label for="what">What:</label> <input type="text" name="what" id="what" value="" required /> </div> <div data-role="fieldcontain"> <label for="comments">Comments:</label> <textarea cols="40" rows="8" name="comments" id="comments"></textarea> </div> <input type="submit" value="Send" data-theme="a"> </form> </div> </div> </body> </html> // PHP Code // "submit.php" <!DOCTYPE HTML> <html> <head> <meta charset="UTF-8"> <title>Submission</title> <meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width,user-scalable=no"> <link rel="stylesheet" href="jquery.mobile-1.0.css" /> <script src="jquery.js"></script> <script src="script.js"></script> <script src="jquery.mobile-1.0.js"></script> </head> <body> <div data-role="dialog"> <div data-role="header"> <h1>Submit to List</h1> </div> <div data-role="content"> <?php if(isset($_POST['email'])) { // EDIT THE 2 LINES BELOW AS REQUIRED $email_to = "tim@akluk.com"; $email_subject = "List Suggestion"; function died($error) { // your error code can go here echo "We are very sorry, but there were error(s) found with the form you submitted.
