  1. Quickbooks 9 Excell 2009, LibreOffice Calc 3 Joomla 3.0 HikaShop 2.1.1 I am wondering if anyone has experience with this and could offer some advice. What I would like to do is take a large inventory list (over 3000 products) from Quickbooks and expoert it into a spreadsheet. I would then like to take that spreadsheet and import it into HikaShop to feed my product list. Essentially, I can do this without problem. However, the fields required for HikaShop are obviously very different than the fields provided in the exported Quickbooks file. When there are thousands of products, doing this manually is quite a chore. For now, I am facing exporting the Quickbooks file and adding all these fields manually to match the Hika feilds. But, I would have to do this every time I export the inventory list from Quickbooks. Or, I can create a second inventory list with all the required HikaShop fields and manually put in the inventory information. Either way, I am writing inventory twice... I have not tried to do something like this, in this way, before, so I am wondering if anyone has a better solution for this? All I would like is the easiest, quickest way to imput inventory once and have it feed the Joomla site. Browsing forums, I have read breifly on doing sometype of mysql database and going from the back end, but this is a little out of my skill range to understand exactly what steps to take... The company is interested in getting a POS system with a bar code scanner soon, so if this offers additional solutions that would great. Any info is appriciated. If you need additional info, just ask! Thank you.
  2. Hi there, I hope this is in the right section. I currently have a website built on a Joomla System, with a Job component extension called Joombah Jobs, It works perfectly. however i installed one of Joombah's plugin which when a user (either Jobseeker or Employer) has logged in it will redirect them to the Edit Profile page and it will force them to update their profile. Now as a Job seeker user there is a page in their profile called Add/Edit Resume which has a link - /index.php/jobseeker/jobseeker-dashboard/jobseeker/editresume I have attached the 2 Force profile plugin files All i want to do is when the JOBSEEKER has been force redirected the the edit profile page and when they save their profile i want them to be redirected to the add/ edit resume link above. I;ve been trying to see when i can put the link but I;m not sure, any insights will help please, any files that would make it easier, let me know please jbforceprofileupdate.php jbforceprofileupdate.xml
  3. Hello all, I am new to Joomla! and I am trying to wrap my head around some of the basic concepts of creating Joomla! template from scratch. I looked around online, but I haven't found anything about this question yet. Maybe I am not looking in the right place. I am having a hard time wrapping my head around the idea of inside pages in a Joomla! template when it comes to file structure. I am creating a news website and there will be three different kinds of inside pages, category home, article page and a search results page. All of which need to have different module and banner spaces. If I were to not use Joomla! and code a site from PHP I would use variables in the URL for an article.php to select an article out of a mysql database using the variables in the URL. I don't really understand if that is the method that is used with Joomla! I was thinking to maybe create a article.php page that queries the Joomla! content database and selects all the information from the database with the URL variables and the has modules built in the sidebar. Like I said, I am new to this.
  4. Hi We've been battling this site for weeks, and finally ended up just iframing the old php stuff into Joomla and making it look better. It worked in a subfolder. Then we moved it up and BLAM. We have 2 problems: 1, one of the order online accessories pages just stopped working. It's giving us a header error message. "Cannot modify header information, headers already sent" when added to the cart. (The product is added to the cart though." 2. We can no longer access the cart admin, perhaps because it shares the root with Joomla and joomla isn't looking 'outside' of itself. None of us are professional coders here, and the site is already live. Can anyone give any advice please?
