  1. Hi guys, I am trying to display data to a user who submitted it. So, user A submits data to the db and also user B. I want it so that user A cannot see user B's data but only the data they have submitted. Hope that makes sense. Here is the code along with the table of data to be displayed. <div class="panel-body"> <div class="table-responsive"> <table class="table table-striped table-bordered table-hover" id="bookings_table"> <thead> <tr> <th class="text-center">Issue ID</th> <th class="text-center">Driver Name</th> <th class="text-center">Date Submitted</th> <th class="text-center">Fleet Number</th> <th class="text-center">Issue</th> <th class="text-center">Description</th> <th class="text-center">Priority</th> <th class="text-center">Status</th> </tr> </thead> <tbody> <?php $check = isset($_SESSION['username']); if($stmt = $link -> prepare("SELECT issue_id, driver_name, submit_date, fleet_number, issue_name, issue_description, issue_priority, issue_status FROM maintenance_requests WHERE username = ?")) { $stmt -> execute(); $stmt -> bind_result($issue_id, $driver_name, $submit_date, $fleet_number, $issue_name, $issue_description, $issue_priority, $issue_status); while($stmt->fetch()) { ?> <tr class="odd gradeX"> <td class="text-center"><?php echo $issue_id; ?></td> <td class="text-center"><?php echo $driver_name; ?></td> <td class="text-center"><?php echo $submit_date; ?></td> <td class="text-center"><?php echo $fleet_number; ?></td> <td class="text-center"><?php echo $issue_name; ?></td> <td class="text-center"><?php echo $issue_description; ?></td> <td class="text-center"><?php echo $issue_priority; ?></td> <?php if($issue_status == "Pending") { ?> <td class="text-center warning"><?php echo $issue_status;?></td> <?php }else if($issue_status == "Open"){ ?> <td class="text-center danger"><?php echo $issue_status; ?></td> <?php }else if($issue_status == "Repaired"){ ?> <td class="text-center success"><?php echo $issue_status ;} ?></td> </tr> <?php } $stmt -> close(); } mysqli_close($link); ?> If I remove the WHERE clause, it displays data from both users. Placing the WHERE clause shows no data. Can someone have a look and see where I am going wrong and maybe point me in the right direction? Many thanks in advance.
  2. I'm trying to alter a db2 query in my php script and it's not executing properly when doing so. In the last line of my WHERE clause for the DB2 select, I'm using this: AND date(substr(extd2d,1,4)||'-'||substr(EXTD2d,5,2)||'-'||substr(EXTD2d,7,2)) >= {$row['start_date']} but getting an error that >= is not a valid comparison operand. However, if I remove {$row['start_date']} and use current_date or current_date - 100 DAY, it works perfectly. To clarify, the value for 'start_date' in mysql is DATE data type and the value 'extd2d' in db2 is a packed field value that holds a date (20180202), so I'm converting it to try and match the YYYY-MM-DD format. Why can't I get this to work as it is? $sql = " SELECT sku_id, dealer_id, locations, s.sku_group_id as groupID, s.frame as frame, s.cover1 as cover, s.color1 as color, start_date - interval 7 day as start_date from placements p inner join skus s on p.sku_id = s.id where curdate() between p.start_date and p.expire_date group by sku_id, dealer_id limit 100"; $result = mysqli_query($conn,$sql); while($row = mysqli_fetch_assoc($result)) { $resultData[] = $row; $sql2 = " SELECT framec, covr1c, colr1c, date(substr(extd2d,1,4)||'-'||substr(EXTD2d,5,2)||'-'||substr(EXTD2d,7,2)) as start_date, sum(orqtyc) as TotalQTY from table1 where cstnoc = {$row['dealer_id']} AND framec = {$row['frame']} AND colr1c = {$row['color']} AND covr1c = {$row['cover']} AND date(substr(extd2d,1,4)||'-'||substr(EXTD2d,5,2)||'-'||substr(EXTD2d,7,2)) >= {$row['start_date']} /*This is the line in question*/ group by framec,covr1c,colr1c,extd2d "; $result2 = odbc_exec($DB2Conn, $sql2); while($row2 = odbc_fetch_array($result2)){ $db2Result[] = $row2; } } print_r($resultData); print_r($db2Result);
  3. I am trying to capture some data on the fly that is marked to be inserted in the db.. but its a huge dump and is very slow getting it into the db.but i can download the entire package and save it in text in less than 3 minutes.. so the idea is to capture it on the fly and then once off line move the data to the db.. should save hours of time and not tie up the MLS server so long.. So here is what i need.. Want to capture it on the fly which i can do.. but the question is how do i save it to txtfile so that it can easily be reloaded as an arrray in the future. I can break it apart any way i like and add ticks or quotes or anything and save the pieces.. but surely there is a very efficient way to do if for multi array... as i think its important how its stored if say i winat to pull the arrays quickly from file usging something like $str = file('mytextfile.txt'); Hope all this makes sense.. what follows is an example of sample code that i am experimenting with to see how to work this.. any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated. $contacts = [['name'=>'S Russell','email'=>'s.russell@vahud.com','title'=>'President'], ['name'=>'D Randall','email'=>'d.Randall@vahud.com','title'=>''], ['name'=>'T Joneses','email'=>'t.joneses@vahud.com','title'=>'Professor'], ['name'=>'A Soloing','email'=>'a.soloing@vahud.com']]; Array ( [0] => Array ( [name] => S Russell [email] => s.russell@vahud.com [title] => President ) [1] => Array ( [name] => D Randall [email] => d.Randall@vahud.com [title] => ) [2] => Array ( [name] => T Jones [email] => t.jones@vahud.com [title] => Professor ) [3] => Array ( [name] => A Solo [email] => a.solo@vahud.com ) ) So how should the code be broken apart and placed in saving.. to easily be reloaded quickly exactly like the array it was since it will be fed back to the same program that it was taken from in midstream.
  4. Hi all, I am trying to get information from mysql by firstly joining a couple of tables such as: "SELECT Latitude, Longitude FROM airports INNER JOIN rosters ON airports.IATA = rosters.Dep WHERE rosters.Dep = 'BGY'"; I would also however like to select another airports.Latitude and airports.Longitude in the same query. Something like... "SELECT Latitude AS departure_lat, Longitude AS depatrure_lng FROM airports INNER JOIN rosters ON airports.IATA = rosters.Dep WHERE rosters.Dep = 'BGY' AND SELECT airports.Latitude AS arrival_lat, airports.Longitude AS arrival_lng FROM airports INNER JOIN rosters ON airports.IATA = rosters.Arr WHERE rosters.Arr = 'CRL'"; So basically, I am trying to get the departure and destination latitude and longitudes from an airport where departure = BGY and arrival = CRL using one query. Thanks for any help!
  5. In the following pages I'm trying to validate if a user is signed in or not. If the user is signed in I would like to see 'Log Out' printed to the screen(I'll do more with that later). If the user is not signed in I would like to see a login form at the top right of the screen. As it stands I'm only seeing 'Log Out' on the screen, I can't get the form to show up anymore. I thought it might be because the session variable was still hanging around but I restarted my computer to make absolutely sure but I'm still just getting 'Log Out'. At the moment I need this program to work as is as much as possible. If you see an entirely different approach that you would use that's fine but I don't currently have the time to go changing a lot, I need to get this going kinda quick. Thanks. records-board.php <?php require_once('includes/init.php'); if(!isset($_SESSION)) { init_session(); } ?> <html> <head> <Title>Pop Report</title> <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="styles/popreport2.css"> <h1>Pop Report</h1> </head> <body> <?php if(isset($_POST['nameinput']) && isset($_POST['passinput'])) { $nameinput = $_POST['nameinput']; $passinput = $_POST['passinput']; User::sign_in($nameinput, $passinput); } if(!isset($_SESSION['user'])) { print_form(); } else { echo "Log Out "; echo $_SESSION['user']->name; // this line was just trouble shooting, it told me nothing! } ?> user.php <?php if(!isset($_SESSION)) { init_session(); } class User { public $name; public function __construct($username, $password) { $connection = get_db_connection(); $query = $connection->query("SELECT * FROM users WHERE username='$username' AND password='$password'"); if(!$query) { echo "Invalid username or password"; } else { $result = $query->fetch(PDO::FETCH_ASSOC); if(!$result['username'] == $username || !$result['password'] == $password) { echo "Invalid username or password"; } else { $this->name = $result['username']; } } } public static function sign_in($username, $password) { $_SESSION['user'] = new User($username, $password); } } ?> <?php function print_form() { echo "<form id='loginform' name='loginform' action='records-board.php' method='post'>"; echo "Username: <input type='text' name='nameinput'>"; echo "Password: <input type='text' name='passinput'><br />"; echo "<input type='submit' value='Sign In'>"; echo "</form>"; } ?>
  6. There are two parts to my question. Part 1. I have a form. You know when you submit a form and if there is an error, the form will reset the input values unless you have the them "selected"? Well I have an issue with one of those inputs. Here is the code. For some reason the input value doesn't get selected on form reset. It inserts to the database fine. <fieldset> <label>Expiry Date</label> <select name="expiry_date"> <?php $date = date('Y-m-d H:i:s'); $expiry_1 = date("Y-m-d H:i:s", strtotime("$date + 1 week")); $expiry_2 = date("Y-m-d H:i:s", strtotime("$date + 2 weeks")); ?> <option value="0">Expires In</option> <option value="<?php echo $expiry_1; ?>" <?php if(empty($_POST['expiry_date'])) {} else { if($_POST['expiry_date'] == $expiry_1) { echo 'selected'; } } ?> >1 week</option> <option value="<?php echo $expiry_2; ?>" <?php if(empty($_POST['expiry_date'])) {} else { if($_POST['expiry_date'] == $expiry_1) { echo 'selected'; } } ?> >2 weeks</option> </select> </fieldset> This is another example of select drop down. But this one below works fine. // this select option's input values get selected on form reset. <fieldset> <label>City</label> <select name="city_id"> <option value="0">Select City</option> <?php $get_city = $db->prepare("SELECT city_id, city_name FROM cities WHERE city_id > :city_id"); $get_city->bindValue(':city_id', 0); $get_city->execute(); $result_city = $get_city->fetchAll(PDO::FETCH_ASSOC); if(count($result_city) > 0){ foreach($result_city as $row) { $get_city_id = intval($row['city_id']); $get_city_name = $row['city_name']; ?><option value="<?php echo $get_city_id; ?>" <?php if(empty($_POST['city_id'])) {} else { if($_POST['city_id'] == $get_city_id) { echo 'selected'; } } ?> ><?php echo $get_city_name; ?></option><?php } } else {} ?> </select> </fieldset> Part 2. This relates to my previous topic. I am trying to do the same thing as above, which is show input values on form reset. But this is slightly more complicated as it is an array. Looking at the code, you can see that you can add more fields through jquery. That all works. Inserting their values from multiple groups of fields into the db also works fine. But once again, if the form resets or submits, only the 1st group of fields show the selected values in the input fields. The 2nd or 3rd group of fields generated through the jquery disappear after submit. But again, their values do insert into the db fine. Here's the html and jquery code. <div id="options-parent"> <h2>Add Options</h2> <button class="add_field_button">Add More Fields</button> <div class="options-child-row"> <div class="option-float"> <label>Quantity</label> <input type="number" name="option_quantity[]" multiple min="1" max="1000000" step="1" value="<?php if(!empty($_POST['option_quantity'])) { echo $_POST['option_quantity'][0]; } else {}; ?>" /> </div> <div class="option-float"> <label>Retail Price</label> <input type="number" name="option_retail_price[]" multiple min="5" max="1000000" step="1" value="<?php if(!empty($_POST['option_retail_price'])) { echo $_POST['option_retail_price'][0]; } else {}; ?>" /> </div> <div class="option-float"> <label>Discount Price</label> <input type="number" name="option_discount_price[]" multiple min="1" max="1000000" step="1" value="<?php if(!empty($_POST['option_discount_price'])) { echo $_POST['option_discount_price'][0]; } else {}; ?>" /> </div> </div> </div> <script> $(document).ready(function() { var max_fields = 20; //maximum input boxes allowed var wrapper = $("#options-parent"); //Fields wrapper var add_button = $(".add_field_button"); //Add button ID var x = 1; //initlal text box count $(add_button).click(function(e){ //on add input button click e.preventDefault(); if(x < max_fields){ //max input box allowed x++; //text box increment $(wrapper).append( '<div class="options-child-row">'+ '<div class="option-float">'+ '<label>Quantity</label>'+ '<input type="number" name="option_quantity[]" min="1" max="1000000" step="10" value="" />'+ '</div>'+ '<div class="option-float">'+ '<label>Retail Price</label>'+ '<input type="number" name="option_retail_price[]" min="1" max="1000000" step="10" value="" />'+ '</div>'+ '<div class="option-float">'+ '<label>Discount Price</label>'+ '<input type="number" name="option_discount_price[]" min="1" max="1000000" step="10" value="" />'+ '</div>'+ '</div>' ); //add input box } }); $(wrapper).on("click",".remove_field", function(e){ //user click on remove text e.preventDefault(); $(this).parent('.options-child-row').remove(); x--; }) }); </script> What do you think?
  7. I feel like this should be easy but I am stuck. I am attempting to create a form that will dynamically update rows using radiobuttons selected by the user. It is a questionnaire. Next will be figuring out the best way to use pagination and update only the records displayed on that page. Thanks in advanced Assessment.php <form action="Process/Process.php" method="post"> <?php do { ?> <label><?php echo $row_Questions['Questions']; ?></label> <label> <input <?php if (!(strcmp($row_Questions['Value'],"1"))) {echo "checked=\"checked\"";} ?> type="radio" name="Value[<?php echo $row_Questions['QuestionID']; ?>]" class="icheck" data-radio="iradio_square-blue" value="1"> Strongly Disagree </label> <label> <input <?php if (!(strcmp($row_Questions['Value'],"2"))) {echo "checked=\"checked\"";} ?> type="radio" name="Value[<?php echo $row_Questions['QuestionID']; ?>]" class="icheck" data-radio="iradio_square-blue" value="2"> Disagree </label> <label> <input <?php if (!(strcmp($row_Questions['Value'],"3"))) {echo "checked=\"checked\"";} ?> type="radio" name="Value[<?php echo $row_Questions['QuestionID']; ?>]" class="icheck" data-radio="iradio_square-blue" value="3"> Neutral </label> <label> <input <?php if (!(strcmp($row_Questions['Value'],"4"))) {echo "checked=\"checked\"";} ?> type="radio" name="Value[<?php echo $row_Questions['QuestionID']; ?>]" class="icheck" data-radio="iradio_square-blue" value="4"> Agree </label> <label> <input <?php if (!(strcmp($row_Questions['Value'],"5"))) {echo "checked=\"checked\"";} ?> type="radio" name="Value[<?php echo $row_Questions['QuestionID']; ?>]" class="icheck" data-radio="iradio_square-blue" value="5"> Strongly Agree </label> <input type="hidden" name="AnswerID[]" value="<?php echo $row_Questions['AnswerID']; ?>"> <input type="hidden" name="QuestionID[]" value="<?php echo $row_Questions['QuestionID']; ?>"> <input type="hidden" name="UserID[]" value="User"> <?php } while ($row_Questions = mysql_fetch_assoc($Questions)); ?> <input type="submit" name="ValueAssessmen" value="Submit"> </form> Process.php if(isset($_POST['ValueAssessment'])) { $AnswerID = count($_POST['AnswerID']); $i = 0; while ($i < $AnswerID) { $AnswerID= $_POST['AnswerID'][$i]; $Value= $_POST['Value'][$i]; $QuestionID= $_POST['QuestionID'][$i]; $UserID= $_POST['UserID'][$i]; $query = "UPDATE answer SET Value = '$Value', QuestionID = '$QuestionID', UserID = '$UserID' WHERE AnswerID = '$AnswerID'"; mysql_query($query) or die ("Error in update query: $query"); ++$i; } }
  8. Hi I have a table that is filled with values already and now i want to add another column associate_id How can i update the columns with a random number? What i have is giving all the columns same number thanks $associates_id = mt_rand(10000, 99999); $stmt = $pdo->prepare("UPDATE associates SET associates_id= $associates_id "); $stmt->execute(); $affected_rows = $stmt->rowCount(); if ($affected_rows){ echo "DONE"; }else{ echo "NOT DONE"; }
  9. Howdy, I am currently re-writing some of the code of my history blog and I am thinking of uploading it to GitHub, since the newest codes seems very well written, in a way that I have gotten way better at programming. Since all of the future employers look at GitHub and they keep complaining I have merely tiny programs there, for some reason. Do you think this is a good idea, or my website will get hacked straight away? Also that will motive me to document it well and stuff. Of course I will skip the login script and all DB info. I am mainly doing it for my future employers to see the code I write, generally, without having to send tons of .rarS via email. Many Thanks in advance.
  10. Hi there guys, I've a little problem with inserting a file name into a database table. I can't see wich is the problem. The code is bellow and i think the problem is at INSERT INTO part. <?php $path = "./cv/"; $valid_formats = array("doc", "pdf"); if(isset($_POST) and $_SERVER['REQUEST_METHOD'] == "POST") { $name = $_FILES['photoimg']['name']; $size = $_FILES['photoimg']['size']; if(strlen($name)) { list($txt, $ext) = explode(".", $name); if(in_array($ext,$valid_formats)) { if($size<(20480*20480)) // Image size max 20 MB { $actual_image_name = time().$id.".".$ext; $tmp = $_FILES['photoimg']['tmp_name']; if(move_uploaded_file($tmp, $path.$actual_image_name)) { mysqli_query($mysqli,"INSERT INTO formular_client (client_cv = '$actual_image_name')"); } else echo "failed"; } else echo "Image file size max 20 MB"; } else echo "Invalid file format.."; } } ?> <input type="file" name="photoimg" id="photoimg" />
  11. Hi, Just wondering if someone could point me in the right direction, I have a simple PHP MySQL login script which passes/stores data via sessions. It works fine, there is no problem with it. All I would like to do is pass some additional data from the users MySQL table. Currently it users just username and password, but I would like it to pass firstname and surname data as well. So when a user logs in with their username and password, on the next page it might say Welcome, Michael Smith. The script below is originally setup for the username to be a persons name, as it's used in the login welcome message in the login.php But I might change the username to be an email address, if I can pull in the additional data. config.php <?php /***************************** File: includes/config.php Written by: Frost of Slunked.com Tutorial: User Registration and Login System ******************************/ // start the session before any output. session_start(); // Set the folder for our includes $sFolder = '/predictor/login'; /*************** Database Connection You will need to change the user (user) and password (password) to what your database information uses. 12. Hello How can I create a user friendly timezone select menu using PHP, like the one in General account setting of PHPFreaks. thanks !
  13. i need to change the color of a word in a string where the word is unknown (from $_POST) and may have one or more uppercase chars. code please.
  14. I have to write small segment of PHP code to print the word(s) 'Hello, World!' in uppercase letters, I have thus far wrote a small section of code that prints the output 'Hello, World!'. But, I'm completely stuck on how to make the letters all uppercase?!?? Moreover; that strtoupper goes somewhere in there right? <?php class TextFunctions { public static $string = 'Hello, World!'; static public function strtoupper() { } } echo TextFunctions::$string; ?>
  15. I have just begun dabbling with javascript as a hobby and have a very crude understanding of php so please bare with me, I am a noob! I am using a javascript onclick button to reference the function shown below. function deleteReply(fpid) { $.post("ajax_forumdelete.php", {'reply': fpid}, function (d) { }); location.reload(); } When the button is pressed and the function executes it does as it should. It deletes the forum reply post as its told and the page reloads and the post is gone! But without some sort of explanation, success message or something telling me that it did what its intended is very unsatisfying. I read around and found that an additional function is needed to give me a little message. success : function() { var x="Success"; alert(x); } Looks simple enough and one would think should be easy to incorporate but when I add it in every way shape or form I cannot get it to work. The original function wont even work after adding this. Below is basically what I am wanting to do but not quite sure how to go about it. function deleteReply(fpid) { $.post("ajax_forumdelete.php", {'reply': fpid}, function (d) { }); success : function() { var x="<?php $mtg->success("Reply has been deleted."); ?>"; alert(x); location.reload(); } } I want to use the php $mtg->success() function to echo the message in the pre defined output location and format and want to output the message after the reload... Any ideas on how to go about this?

  22. Hello everyone.. I have a question to delete comment based from user-id itself. I use PHP SDK to delete any comment to my facebook page and it was success as long as I specify the comment-id.. Below are my codes to delete a comment from comment-id $request = new FacebookRequest( $session, 'DELETE', '/{comment-id}' ); $response = $request->execute(); $graphObject = $response->getGraphObject(); Is it possible to delete comment based on user-id itself? I know that I just need to query the graph api to get the comment-id from A but each comment have different id`s so its hard to query the comment-id everytime.. For example: A, B, and C comment to my facebook post and I want to delete the comment where the user-id is from A? So, if the api scan and found out that A is commenting to my post, it will be deleted instead deleting B and C I really appreciate for any help from you guys.. Thanks
  23. I was wondering if anyone could help! I'm pulling my hair out here. Basically I pull some data down from the DB (start & end) which are both datetime columns. What I need it to do is if the start is say 10:00AM and the end is 12:00PM I need it to add the HTML class "y" to 10,10:30, 11, 11:30 & 12. It did work in one instance, then I tested it again on another example and every TD was class "n". 24. Hi I have been putting together a CMS system for users that have no idea how to use HMTL, at this time I have managed to build a basic CMS and now I am looking to extend the functionality of its use, right now the user can view the public pages with links, login to the Admin area to manage the subjects or pages and visibility of all and delete any of all or add an admin member, that's a nut shell to a ot of work already done; moving forwards I want to take away the need for any user ever needing to type any code, so if they wish to change the font colour, weight, type o back ground colour or image etc..... so how would anyone recommend working this, I was thinking maybe add buttons and selection boxes that save the correct data into a separate table and retrieve both and concatenate it back together
  25. Hi again, Hopefully the last question as I am not 100% how to solve this one. So on my website someone carried out a search from a search bar using the 'POST' method , teh search results show all whiskies in the databse. I have a number of whiskies with the same name but with different dates and prices. I would like it just to show one of each type that was searched for rather than all of them. I have attahced a clip of the databse. Thanks Index.php </head> <?php $page='index'; include('header.php'); include('navbar.php'); ?> <script type="text/javascript"> function active(){ var search_bar= document.getElementById('search_bar'); if(search_bar.value == 'Search for your whisky here'){ search_bar.value='' search_bar.placeholder= 'Search for your whisky here' } } function inactive(){ var search_bar= document.getElementById('search_bar'); if(search_bar.value == ''){ search_bar.value='Search for your whisky here' search_bar.placeholder= '' } } </script> <body> <div class="third_bar"> <div class="background_image"> </div> <div class="form"><form action= "search.php" method="post"> <input type="text" name="search" id="search_bar" placeholder="" value="Search for your whisky here" max length="30" autocomplete="off" onMouseDown="active();" onBlur="inactive();"/><input type="submit" id="search_button" value="Go!"/> </form> </div> </div> </body> </div> <?php include ('footer.php'); ?> Search.php <?php $page='search'; include('header.php'); include ('navbar.php'); echo "<br>"; include ('connect.php'); if (isset ($_POST['search'])) { //the 'search' refers to the 'search' name=search on the index page and makes does something when the search is pushed. $search = $_POST['search']; $search = "%" . $search .
