  3. I am using a countdown timer I've found in google, I just modify some line of codes to make the timer to count up instead of counting down and I want it to not reset if the page is refresh or the browser is restart. From what I know I need to use cookies for this but I don't know how to incorporate it to my code. Here's the code. <html> <html> <head> <title>Timer</title> <script src="http://code.jquery.com/jquery-1.11.0.min.js"></script> </head> <body> <span id="countup">00:00:00</span> </body> </html> <script type="text/javascript"> (function(){ $(document).ready(function() { var time = "00:00:00", parts = time.split(':'), hours = +parts[0], minutes = +parts[1], seconds = +parts[2], span = $('#countup'); function correctNum(num) { return (num<10)? ("0"+num):num; } var timer = setInterval(function(){ seconds++; if(seconds > 59) { minutes++; seconds = 0; if(minutes > 59) { hours++; seconds = 0; minutes = 0; if(hours >= 24) { alert("timer finished"); } } } span.text(correctNum(hours) + ":" + correctNum(minutes) + ":" + correctNum(seconds)); }, 1000); }); })() </script>
  4. So I've done a search for pdf to html converters and there are plenty of free online options. The only problem is that they don't convert the pdf to html in an actual 8.5 x11 size, so that when you go to print or use them to be filled by code and then printed, they are to small. Now, some would say, simply resize the html file, but the issue there is when created it actually consists of two files. One an html file with absolute position values for all your text and the second as a jpeg for any backgrounds, frames or images. You can adjust the size of the background, borders and images, but then that would also mean you'd have to go line for line in the html to adjust the absolute positions of all the text. So my question would be, is there a converter that would create an html file in the actual 8.5 x 11 size that anyone knows of? And don't say, Acrobat, cause their conversion doesn't even come close to looking like the original document. Any insight on this matter would be greatly appreciated.
  5. Hi, So I am currently making a real estate site for my class at school but I am having a tiny issue with the listing display page. So what I want to do is show a bunch of listing that the agent owns on their dashboard which I have already done. Now I have two links one to update the listing and one to view the listing. Now what I am trying to do is when the view listing link is clicked it will take the user to the listing-display page and then I want it to display all the information for the listing that the link was clicked under. But i cannot for the life of me figure out how to do that! This is currently the code for the dashboard where you only view the listing headline <?php // If the session was never set with a user id $output = ''; $conn = db_connect(); if($_SESSION['userType'] != AGENT) { $_SESSION['RedirectError'] = "You were not logged in as an Agent<br/>"; header("Location:login.php"); } if (isset($_GET["page"])) { $page = $_GET["page"]; $index = ($page -1) * IMAGE_LIMIT; } else { $page=1; $index = 0; } ?> <!-- start of main page content --> <div class="container" style="margin-top: 2em;"> <h2>Dashboard</h2> <p>Welcome back <?php echo $_SESSION['userId']; ?> you last logged in on <?php echo $_SESSION['last_access']; ?></p> <h4>Your Listings</h4> <?php $sql = "SELECT listing_id FROM listings WHERE user_id = '".$_SESSION['userId']."' AND status = 'o' ORDER BY listing_id"; $result = pg_query($conn, $sql); $listings = pg_fetch_all($result); for($index; $index < pg_num_rows($result); $index++) { $sql = "SELECT * FROM listings WHERE listing_id = '".$listings[$index]['listing_id']."'"; $listing_result = pg_query($conn, $sql); $arrayRow = pg_fetch_assoc($listing_result); echo (build_listing_card($arrayRow)); if($index !=0 && ($index +1) % IMAGE_LIMIT ==0){ break; } } ?> </div> <br/> <?php $total_pages = ceil(count($listings) / IMAGE_LIMIT); $pageLink = "<div class='pagination'>"; for ($i=1; $i<=$total_pages; $i++) { if($i == $page) { $pageLink .= "<a class='active' href='dashboard.php?page=".$i."'>".$i."</a>"; } else { $pageLink .= "<a href='dashboard.php?page=".$i."'>".$i."</a>"; } }; ?> </div> <br/> and this is the code for the listing-display page where I want all the listing information to be displayed <?php if (isset($_GET['listing_id'])) { $_SESSION['listing_id'] = $_GET['listing_id']; } else { $_SESSION['listing_id'] = 0; echo "ERROR: listing information was not find"; } $sql = 'SELECT * FROM listings WHERE listing_id = ' . $_SESSION['listing_id']; echo "<BR>".$sql; $result = pg_query(db_connect(), $sql); $records = pg_num_rows($result); echo "<BR>".pg_fetch_result($result, 0, "listing_id"); echo "<BR>".pg_fetch_result($result, 0, "user_id"); echo "<BR>".pg_fetch_result($result, 0, "status"); echo "<BR>".pg_fetch_result($result, 0, "price"); echo "<BR>".pg_fetch_result($result, 0, "headline"); echo "<BR>".pg_fetch_result($result, 0, "description"); echo "<BR>".pg_fetch_result($result, 0, "postal_code"); echo "<BR>".pg_fetch_result($result, 0, "images"); echo "<BR>".pg_fetch_result($result, 0, "city"); echo "<BR>".pg_fetch_result($result, 0, "property_options"); echo "<BR>".pg_fetch_result($result, 0, "bedrooms"); echo "<BR>".pg_fetch_result($result, 0, "bathrooms"); echo "<BR>".pg_fetch_result($result, 0, "garage"); echo "<BR>".pg_fetch_result($result, 0, "purchase_type"); echo "<BR>".pg_fetch_result($result, 0, "property_type"); echo "<BR>".pg_fetch_result($result, 0, "finished_basement"); echo "<BR>".pg_fetch_result($result, 0, "open_house"); echo "<BR>".pg_fetch_result($result, 0, "schools"); ?> <h1> Listing Display </h1> <hr/> <table style="width:50%" border="1px solid black"> <tr> <th>Listing Image</th> <th>Listing Description</th> </tr> <tr> <th rowspan="2"> <img src="" alt="Oshawa House" width="300px" height="200px"/> </th> <td align="left" valign="top"> <h3><?php echo pg_fetch_result($result, 0, "headline") ?></h3> <ul> <li>Open house?: <?php echo get_property('open_house', pg_fetch_result($result, 0, "open_house"))?> </li> <li>Finished Basement?: <?php echo get_property('finished_basement', pg_fetch_result($result, 0, "finished_basement"))?></li> <li><?php echo get_property('purchase_type', pg_fetch_result($result, 0, "purchase_type"))?></li> <li>Garage Type: <?php echo get_property('garage_type', pg_fetch_result($result, 0, "garage"))?></li> <li>Near school?: <?php echo get_property('schools', pg_fetch_result($result, 0, "schools"))?></li> <li>Status: <?php echo get_property('listing_status', strtolower(pg_fetch_result($result, 0, "status"))) ?></li> <li>Washrooms: <?php echo get_property('washrooms',pg_fetch_result($result, 0, "bathrooms")) ?></li> <li>Bedrooms: <?php echo get_property('bedrooms',pg_fetch_result($result, 0, "bedrooms")) ?></li> <li>Description: <?php echo pg_fetch_result($result, 0, "description") ?></li> </ul> </td> </tr> <tr> <td align="left" valign="top"><ul> <li>Location: <?php echo get_property('cities',pg_fetch_result($result, 0, "city")) ?></li> <li>Postal Code: <?php echo pg_fetch_result($result, 0, "postal_code") ?></li> <li>Price: <?php echo pg_fetch_result($result, 0, "price") ?></li> </ul> </td> </tr> </table> <form action="listing-matches.php"> <p> <input type="submit" name="submit" value="Back"/></p> </form>
  6. I'm going crazy. I have two arrays. The first has working hours and the array is like this: ```array(7) { [0]=> array(4) { ["morning_from"]=> string(6) "closed" ["morning_to"]=> string(6) "closed" ["afternoon_from"]=> string(5) "13:00" ["afternoon_to"]=> string(5) "19:00" }``` The second one is the busy times, the array is like this: ```array(2) { [0]=> { ["title"]=> string(13) "Test" ["start_date"]=> string(19) "2019-11-25 13:00:00" ["end_date"]=> string(19) "2019-11-25 14:00:00" } }``` Now I do a cycle of 15 times because I need to make the list for the next 15 days from today. Then I compare the working hours in the morning with the appointments, if the time is occupied by an appointment I add a class to the div. The HTML that comes out should look like this: ``` <ul> <li> <div> <p>Sun</p><p>24 Nov</p> </div> <div class="uk-book-a-visit-closed">Closed</div> </li> <li> <div> <p>Mon</p> <p>25 Nov</p> </div> <div> <a class="uk-button-book-a-visit-hour uk-button-book-a-visit-hour-busy" id="a-book-a-visit" data-book-day="2019-11-25" data-book-hour="13:00">13:00</a> <a class="uk-button-book-a-visit-hour uk-button-book-a-visit-hour-busy" id="a-book-a-visit" data-book-day="2019-11-25" data-book-hour="13:30">13:30</a> <a class="uk-button-book-a-visit-hour uk-button-book-a-visit-hour-busy" id="a-book-a-visit" data-book-day="2019-11-25" data-book-hour="14:00">14:00</a> <a class="uk-button-book-a-visit-hour" id="a-book-a-visit" data-book-day="2019-11-25" data-book-hour="14:30">14:30</a> <a class="uk-button-book-a-visit-hour" id="a-book-a-visit" data-book-day="2019-11-25" data-book-hour="15:00">15:00</a> </div> </li> </ul> ``` Unfortunately it does not work as I would like, it does not mark correctly if the date is occupied. I'll post a piece of code: ```for ($book_i=0; $book_i <= 15; $book_i++) { if($book_i == 0){ $book_today_day = date('Y-m-d', strtotime($book_today)); }else{ $book_today_day = date('Y-m-d', strtotime($book_today . 7. I have a page of html tables that are filled by database values through PHP, and there are no problems there. However, I have an issue on one of the tables. I have a pricing table, attached below. The $575 is currently filled from a field in the database that is set from a CSV upload, but the new CSV template is not doing this because it's missing the price field. This is the SQL statement that I'm using in the database, since the price is based off of meterSize, meterType and workOrderType2: UPDATE staging INNER JOIN pricing ON staging.meterType = pricing.meterType AND staging.meterSize = pricing.meterSize AND staging.workOrderType2 = pricing.workOrderType SET staging.onsiteTestSurveyPrice = pricing.price This works, but only with the original template, so I'm looking into doing this strictly in PHP with the table/row values, if possible. An example of what I'm looking for, using the html table and PHP: If $row['meterSize'] contains 3", $row['meterType'] contains COMPOUND and $row['workOrderType2'] contains ONSITE SURVEY AND TEST then $575 should go in <td><? echo $row['onsiteSurveyTestCost'];?> </td> Here's the code for those 3 conditional table rows: <tr style="border: none;"> <td style="border: none; text-align: left;">Meter Type:</td> <td style="border: none; text-align: right;"><? echo $row['meterType'];?> </td> </tr> <tr style="border: none;"> <td style="border: none; text-align: left;">Meter Size:</td> <td style="border: none; text-align: right;"><? echo $row['meterSize'];?> </td> </tr> <tr style="border: none;"> <td style="border: none; text-align: left;">Service Preformed:</td> <td style="border: none; text-align: right;"><? echo $row['workOrderType2'];?> </td> </tr> Is there a way to do this? I have multiple prices that are based on multiple conditions, but If I could figure out how to do this once then I can alter the values accordingly. Basically I want to mirror the db/SQL statement only with strictly PHP and the values in each table row. How can I do that, if possible?
  8. Hi all, I currently have a table listed, with one of the rows being hyperlinked and linking to an input form, should be autopopulated from the code (ID or other unique identifier) of the row, however, when clicking the link the form does not load. I will insert relevant code to this thread and if anyone would be able to shed some light on this that would be great. NOTE: SQL code has already been tested using PHPMyAdmin and works fine. Although, it may need changed to help with this issue - I'm not quite sure. Please see screenshots for relevant code.
  9. I have a form that is populated by a CSV file, always 229 fields but anywhere up to 10 or 12 rows. The form populates correctly, but I'm having issues saving it all. The loop seems like it's missing something or maybe something is mismatched. Here is the form code: **page-confirm.php** $connect = mysqli_connect($server, $user, $pw, $db); if ($connect->connect_error) { die("Connection failed: " . $conn->connect_error); }else{ //echo'success!'; } if(isset($_POST['preview'])) { ini_set('auto_detect_line_endings', true); $file = $_FILES["file"]["tmp_name"]; $handle = fopen($file, "r"); $maxPreviewRows = PHP_INT_MAX; // this will be ~2 billion on 32-bit system, or ~9 quintillion on 64-bit system $hasHeaderRow = true; echo "<form method='post' action='/form-submit' >"; echo '<table>'; if ($hasHeaderRow) { $headerRow = fgetcsv($handle); echo '<thead><tr>'; foreach($headerRow as $value) { echo "<th>$value</th>"; } echo '</tr></thead>'; } echo '<tbody>'; $rowCount = 0; while ($row = fgetcsv($handle)) { $colCount = 0; echo '<tr>'; foreach($row as $value) { echo "<td><input name='row[".$rowCount."][".$colCount."]' type='text' value='$value' /></td>"; $colCount++; } echo '</tr>'; if (++$rowCount > $maxPreviewRows) { break; } } echo '</tbody></table>'; echo "<input type='submit' name='confirm' value='confirm'>"; echo '</form>'; } ?> Here's the code for the submission page with the insert loop: **page-formsubmit.php** $connect = mysqli_connect($server, $user, $pw, $db); if ($connect->connect_error) { die("Connection failed: " . $connect->connect_error); }else{ echo'success!'; } //var_dump($_POST); $sql = $inserts = $binds = []; foreach ($_POST['row'] as $rowValue){ if(is_array($rowValue) && count($rowValue) > 0 ){ foreach($rowValue as $rowData){ /*** * Stupidly, I had missed that row contains arrays * rather than values, so you need a foreach, inside the * foreach as so: ***/ foreach ($rowData as $columnKey => $columnValue){ //$columnValue will now equal $value //$columnKey will be the column number (1...229) /*** * This is the area you can construct your SQL query values. * db_connection is assumed to be setup. ***/ $sql[] = "`column_name_".$columnKey."`"; $binder = "value".$columnKey; $inserts[] = ":".$binder; $binds[$binder] = $columnValue; unset($binder); } unset($columnKey,$columnValue); } unset($rowData); /*** * This is the area the SQL query is set on a per row basis ***/ $sqlFull = "INSERT INTO staging (".implode(",",$sql).") VALUES(".implode(",",$inserts).")"; $connect->prepare($sqlFull); /*** * EDIT: bind param MUST come after the prepare call ***/ foreach($binds as $bindKey=>$bindRow){ $connect->bind_param(":".$bindKey, $bindRow); } unset($bindKey,$bindRow); var_dump($binds); $sql = $inserts = $binds = []; //reset arrays for next row iteration. /*** * db_connection then executes the statement constructed above ***/ $connect->execute(); } //close if. } unset($rowValue); ?> You can see in the submission page where I comment out the var_dump for post data. When it's active, it prints out this for the array: success!array(1) { ["row"]=> array(5) { [0]=> array(229) and continues printing the 229 elements for all 7 rows. There is something that's not quite working in this loop because even a debug statement within the loop to print the query won't work. I just need to make sure it iterates all 229 fields of every row to the end of the form and puts them into my staging table. My staging table, which is temporary, has 229 named fields in the exact order as the CSV, so I shouldn't have to declare each field I don't believe.
  10. I have a page that displays about 12 tables that are filled from database values. These values correspond with a single record but some of these fields are based off of queries I'm making so that if something's wrong in the query, it will display red text. I'm only doing this for a few different fields but I want an option to edit and fix those fields and then save them to the database with an UPDATE. Basically, I don't want to wrap the whole page in a form since only a few fields in a few of the tables will need to be editable. Is there a way to do this so that I can edit only the few fields that need to be fixed? Here's a table as example: <div class="testResults" style=" width: 30%; clear:both; float: left;"> <!--Test Results Table--> <table style="width: 100%;"> <tr> <th colspan="2">Test Results</th> </tr> <tr> <td style="text-align: left;">Tested Within AWWA Standards</td> <td><? echo $row['standards'];?> </td> </tr> <tr> <td style="text-align: left;">Meter Failed on Low Side</td> <td><? echo $row['lowFail'];?> </td> </tr> <tr> <td style="text-align: left;">Meter Failed on High Side</td> <td><? echo $row['highFail'];?> </td> </tr> <tr> <td style="text-align: left;">Meter Failed Low and High Side</td> <td><? echo $row['bothFail'];?> </td> </tr> <tr> <td style="text-align: left;">Unable To Test</td> <td><? echo $row['unableTest'];?> </td> </tr> </table> So, for example, say I want to edit the data for just standards row and lowFail row. I tried this but it didn't work: <td><input type="text" name="test8TRGPM" value="<? echo $row['test8TestRateGPM'];?>"> </td> I know once this is done I'll need to have a submit button that attaches to a query to update with the input name, but right NOw i'm trying to find the best way to edit. Is it easiest to just wrap the whole page in a form and just create the few inputs where I need?
  11. I have a database written in and stored on a server. The table I will be accessing is called dataRep and houses Rep Data. This data is user input via form submission. Upon coming to the website there is an option to "View Rep Information" by submitting the Rep's ID that was given. That Rep ID will be the auto increment repID from the table. Upon clicking the button, it opens a new window that should display the rep's data. It does not, however. Here is the [html] the user will see: <div class="pop_box"> <a class="rms-button" href="#popup1">Enter Rep Number Here</a> </div> <div id="popup1" class="overlay"> <div class="popup"> <a class="close" href="#">×</a> <div align="center"><br> <br> <p>Enter rep number in box below. Submission will open new window.</p> <form method="get" action="/data/repPrepare.php" target="_blank" > <input type="text" id="repSelect" name="repSelect" placeholder="Enter Rep Number Given Here" /> <button type="submit" class="newbutton">VIEW</button> </form> </div> </div> ...and here is the [php] I have tried, which I get the following error: [indent]"Could not get data: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MariaDB server version for the right syntax to use near '[repSelect]' at line 1"[/indent] <?php $dbhost = 'mhhost'; $dbuser = 'myuser'; $dbpass = 'mypass'; $conn = mysql_connect($dbhost, $dbuser, $dbpass); if(! $conn ) { die('Could not connect: ' . mysql_error()); } $sql = 'SELECT * FROM dataRep WHERE repID = [repSelect]'; mysql_select_db('reviewmy_jos1'); $retval = mysql_query( $sql, $conn ); if(! $retval ) { die('Could not get data: ' . mysql_error()); } while($row = mysql_fetch_array($retval, MYSQL_ASSOC)) { echo "Rep ID :{$row['repID']} <br> ". "Rep NAME : {$row['repName']} <br> ". "Rep Bio : {$row['repBio']} <br> ". "Rep Certs : {$row['repCerts']} <br> ". "--------------------------------<br>"; } echo "Fetched data successfully\n"; mysql_close($conn); ?> I am truly stuck and have been dealing with this issue for two weeks. I would appreciate any assistance that can be provided. I just need the [php] to pull the data tied the repID that the user puts in the box. When I started this I assumed it would be rather easy. I guess that's what I get for assuming. Either way, I'm missing something here. Is there a possibility that this can not be done? Like, I should be using AJAX instead?
  12. In the following pages I'm trying to validate if a user is signed in or not. If the user is signed in I would like to see 'Log Out' printed to the screen(I'll do more with that later). If the user is not signed in I would like to see a login form at the top right of the screen. As it stands I'm only seeing 'Log Out' on the screen, I can't get the form to show up anymore. I thought it might be because the session variable was still hanging around but I restarted my computer to make absolutely sure but I'm still just getting 'Log Out'. At the moment I need this program to work as is as much as possible. If you see an entirely different approach that you would use that's fine but I don't currently have the time to go changing a lot, I need to get this going kinda quick. Thanks. records-board.php <?php require_once('includes/init.php'); if(!isset($_SESSION)) { init_session(); } ?> <html> <head> <Title>Pop Report</title> <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="styles/popreport2.css"> <h1>Pop Report</h1> </head> <body> <?php if(isset($_POST['nameinput']) && isset($_POST['passinput'])) { $nameinput = $_POST['nameinput']; $passinput = $_POST['passinput']; User::sign_in($nameinput, $passinput); } if(!isset($_SESSION['user'])) { print_form(); } else { echo "Log Out "; echo $_SESSION['user']->name; // this line was just trouble shooting, it told me nothing! } ?> user.php <?php if(!isset($_SESSION)) { init_session(); } class User { public $name; public function __construct($username, $password) { $connection = get_db_connection(); $query = $connection->query("SELECT * FROM users WHERE username='$username' AND password='$password'"); if(!$query) { echo "Invalid username or password"; } else { $result = $query->fetch(PDO::FETCH_ASSOC); if(!$result['username'] == $username || !$result['password'] == $password) { echo "Invalid username or password"; } else { $this->name = $result['username']; } } } public static function sign_in($username, $password) { $_SESSION['user'] = new User($username, $password); } } ?> <?php function print_form() { echo "<form id='loginform' name='loginform' action='records-board.php' method='post'>"; echo "Username: <input type='text' name='nameinput'>"; echo "Password: <input type='text' name='passinput'><br />"; echo "<input type='submit' value='Sign In'>"; echo "</form>"; } ?>
  13. There are two parts to my question. Part 1. I have a form. You know when you submit a form and if there is an error, the form will reset the input values unless you have the them "selected"? Well I have an issue with one of those inputs. Here is the code. For some reason the input value doesn't get selected on form reset. It inserts to the database fine. <fieldset> <label>Expiry Date</label> <select name="expiry_date"> <?php $date = date('Y-m-d H:i:s'); $expiry_1 = date("Y-m-d H:i:s", strtotime("$date + 1 week")); $expiry_2 = date("Y-m-d H:i:s", strtotime("$date + 2 weeks")); ?> <option value="0">Expires In</option> <option value="<?php echo $expiry_1; ?>" <?php if(empty($_POST['expiry_date'])) {} else { if($_POST['expiry_date'] == $expiry_1) { echo 'selected'; } } ?> >1 week</option> <option value="<?php echo $expiry_2; ?>" <?php if(empty($_POST['expiry_date'])) {} else { if($_POST['expiry_date'] == $expiry_1) { echo 'selected'; } } ?> >2 weeks</option> </select> </fieldset> This is another example of select drop down. But this one below works fine. // this select option's input values get selected on form reset. <fieldset> <label>City</label> <select name="city_id"> <option value="0">Select City</option> <?php $get_city = $db->prepare("SELECT city_id, city_name FROM cities WHERE city_id > :city_id"); $get_city->bindValue(':city_id', 0); $get_city->execute(); $result_city = $get_city->fetchAll(PDO::FETCH_ASSOC); if(count($result_city) > 0){ foreach($result_city as $row) { $get_city_id = intval($row['city_id']); $get_city_name = $row['city_name']; ?><option value="<?php echo $get_city_id; ?>" <?php if(empty($_POST['city_id'])) {} else { if($_POST['city_id'] == $get_city_id) { echo 'selected'; } } ?> ><?php echo $get_city_name; ?></option><?php } } else {} ?> </select> </fieldset> Part 2. This relates to my previous topic. I am trying to do the same thing as above, which is show input values on form reset. But this is slightly more complicated as it is an array. Looking at the code, you can see that you can add more fields through jquery. That all works. Inserting their values from multiple groups of fields into the db also works fine. But once again, if the form resets or submits, only the 1st group of fields show the selected values in the input fields. The 2nd or 3rd group of fields generated through the jquery disappear after submit. But again, their values do insert into the db fine. Here's the html and jquery code. <div id="options-parent"> <h2>Add Options</h2> <button class="add_field_button">Add More Fields</button> <div class="options-child-row"> <div class="option-float"> <label>Quantity</label> <input type="number" name="option_quantity[]" multiple min="1" max="1000000" step="1" value="<?php if(!empty($_POST['option_quantity'])) { echo $_POST['option_quantity'][0]; } else {}; ?>" /> </div> <div class="option-float"> <label>Retail Price</label> <input type="number" name="option_retail_price[]" multiple min="5" max="1000000" step="1" value="<?php if(!empty($_POST['option_retail_price'])) { echo $_POST['option_retail_price'][0]; } else {}; ?>" /> </div> <div class="option-float"> <label>Discount Price</label> <input type="number" name="option_discount_price[]" multiple min="1" max="1000000" step="1" value="<?php if(!empty($_POST['option_discount_price'])) { echo $_POST['option_discount_price'][0]; } else {}; ?>" /> </div> </div> </div> <script> $(document).ready(function() { var max_fields = 20; //maximum input boxes allowed var wrapper = $("#options-parent"); //Fields wrapper var add_button = $(".add_field_button"); //Add button ID var x = 1; //initlal text box count $(add_button).click(function(e){ //on add input button click e.preventDefault(); if(x < max_fields){ //max input box allowed x++; //text box increment $(wrapper).append( '<div class="options-child-row">'+ '<div class="option-float">'+ '<label>Quantity</label>'+ '<input type="number" name="option_quantity[]" min="1" max="1000000" step="10" value="" />'+ '</div>'+ '<div class="option-float">'+ '<label>Retail Price</label>'+ '<input type="number" name="option_retail_price[]" min="1" max="1000000" step="10" value="" />'+ '</div>'+ '<div class="option-float">'+ '<label>Discount Price</label>'+ '<input type="number" name="option_discount_price[]" min="1" max="1000000" step="10" value="" />'+ '</div>'+ '</div>' ); //add input box } }); $(wrapper).on("click",".remove_field", function(e){ //user click on remove text e.preventDefault(); $(this).parent('.options-child-row').remove(); x--; }) }); </script> What do you think?
  14. Hey guys, i am trying to create a box to show images or content once a user selects a link within a gallery. So for example i have an image --> user scrolls over --> image overlay shows a link ---> link actions to a jquery action to where a hidden field shows more data. right now i have everything to the point to where the links default action is disabled and the "overlay" div that will show the content is hidden. when i then go ahead and add some jquery to add a class when the link is clicked nothing seems to happen. <section class="work_area" id="WORK"> <div class="container"> <div class="row"> <div class="col-md-12 text-center"> <div class="work_title wow fadeInUp animated"> <h1>demo<span style="color: #64bdec; font-weight: bolder;">33</span> PORTFOLIO</h1> <img src="images/arrow486.png" alt=""> </div> <div id="dataBox"></div> </div> </div> </div> <div class="container-fluid"> <div class="row"> <div class="col-md-2 no_padding"> <div class="single_image"> <img src="images/REGISTERE.png" alt=""> <div class="image_overlay"> <h2>Lorem ipsum</h4> <a id="link" href="portfolio.php" >Popup link</a> </div> </div> </div> </div> </div> </section> CSS #dataBox{ width: 800px; height: 500px; margin: auto; padding: 100px 100px; position: relative; border: 2px solid black; margin-bottom: 10px; } #pData{ background: red; width: 800px; height: 500px; margin: auto; padding: 100px 100px; position: relative; border: 2px solid black; } JS. $(document).ready(function(){ $('#dataBox').hide(); $('#link').click(function(e){ e.preventDefault(); $('div #dataBox').removeClass().addClass('pData'); console.log("link is working"); }); }); everything works other than the div showing up.
  15. So I'm posting this in CSS because I think I'm having a CSS issue. Basically, I have this right now: I'm trying to vertically center the blue box and everything inside it. I've tried line-height, vertical-align, display: inline-block, position relative and absolute. The only way that works is if I do it manually with absolute or margin. But absolute isn't responsive so that's a problem. I'm using Bootstrap from the CDN if that matters. I'm only going to include code for the first box so that it doesn't get messy. 16. Hey guys, i am trying to create a contact form that by passes the page refresh and uses Jquery and Ajax to direct to a php file server side. So far i have everything work fine. until the final part where i pass the json data type into PHP and look to catch an error, success, or completion value. Currently i have an error coming back with the following: SyntaxError: Unexpected token < error due to a parsererror condition I do not see any errors in the console of of chrome, and i have no idea why i am getting this syntax error. These does not seem to be any conflicting data going into the json or out to php. really been stuck on this for a day now This is my .js file $(document).ready(function(){ $('form #alertMessage').hide(); $('#submit').click(function(e){ e.preventDefault(); var valid = ''; var name = $('form #name').val(); var email = $('form #email').val(); var subject = $('form #subject').val(); var message = $('form #message').val(); var honeypot = $('form #honeypot').val(); var humancheck = $('form #humancheck').val(); if(name = '' || name.length <= 5 ){ valid += '<p>Sorry, Your name is required!</p> '; } if(!email.match( /^([a-z0-9._-]+@[a-z0-9._-]+\.[a-z]{2,4}$)/ )){ valid += '<p>A Valid Email is required</p> '; } if(subject = '' || subject.length <= 2 ){ valid += '<p>A Valid name is required</p> '; } if(message = '' || message.length <= 5 ){ valid += '<p>A brief description of you is required.</p> '; } if(honeypot != 'http://'){ valid += '<p>Sorry spambots not allowed.</p> '; } if(humancheck != ''){ valid += '<p>Sorry only humans allowed past this point.</p> '; } if(valid != ""){ $('form #alertMessage').removeClass().addClass('error') .html('<br><br>' + valid).fadeIn('fast') }else{ $('form #alertMessage').removeClass().addClass('processing') .html('<br><br>We are processing your form now...').fadeIn('fast') var formData = $('form').serialize(); submitForm(formData); } }); }); function submitForm(formData){ $.ajax({ type: 'POST', url: 'feedback.php', data: formData, dataType: 'json', cache: false, timeout: 7000, success: function(data){ $('form #alertMessage').removeClass().addClass((data.error === true) ? 17. First let me start by saying I'm not looking to copy someone else's code but better understand where the line is drawn for people copying my own code. All developers at some point will have used others code in there own work. If you see something that inspires you, you may decided to use that code in your design. In some degree this maybe classed as fair use depending on the quantity of code you copy. Another developer may taken an entire php file, function, class, CSS sheet, HTML file and use this in there work / pass this off as there own work. This is blatant plagiarism. However what is stopping a developer from taking an entire piece of code and editing every aspect of the file to make it his own? For instance a designer my change the names of the styles and perhaps change the order of the properties and there values slightly; He may also move around parts of the html. In doing so causes the design to look different to your own but still the copying your work no the less. Another instance maybe that a PHP developer uses your entire code / software package and change the names of the variables, classes and methods; He may also change the order in which the methods appear and even change some similar functions to use alternatives such as loops. Again this causes the program to do exactly what your intends to do, however the source code will now look different to your own. How far can someone go back doing these actions? Is this legal? How best would you be able to prove it?
  18. <script type="text/javascript" language="javascript"> function disableFunc() { document.getElementById("groupselect").disabled = true; } </script> <form method="post" class="subform" action="<?php echo htmlentities($_SERVER['PHP_SELF']);?>"> <div class="row" style="background: skyblue; margin-top:-23px"> <div class="col-sm-2"> <div class="input-group"> <select id="groupselect" class="form-control" name="groupid" onchange="disableFunc()"> <option name="0"<?php echo ($_POST['groupid'] == '0') ? ' selected="selected"' : ''; ?> value="0" >GROUP</option> <option name="1"<?php echo ($_POST['groupid'] == '1') ? ' selected="selected"' : ''; ?> value="1" >1</option> <option name="2"<?php echo ($_POST['groupid'] == '2') ? ' selected="selected"' : ''; ?> value="2" >2</option> <option name="3"<?php echo ($_POST['groupid'] == '3') ? ' selected="selected"' : ''; ?> value="3" >3</option> <option name="4"<?php echo ($_POST['groupid'] == '4') ? ' selected="selected"' : ''; ?> value="4" >4</option> <option name="5"<?php echo ($_POST['groupid'] == '5') ? ' selected="selected"' : ''; ?> value="5" >5</option> <option name="6"<?php echo ($_POST['groupid'] == '6') ? ' selected="selected"' : ''; ?> value="6" >6</option> The onchange function works as it shld. My problem is the HTML. I got this select box code from another forum. Without the onchange event in the code, when the user selects a Groupid option, it automatically loads another select box with names. But with it in the code (as I've shown it here), the select box gets disabled immediately causing no names to be loaded in the other select box. I need to be able to load the other select box with names before the groupid select box disables. Any help on this is appreciated. Thanks.
  19. I have an html table with some numerical values in each data row. There are 8 columns representing 8 tests. At the bottom of each column is a corrected accuracy cell which represents a math formula from the three rows above it. Basically, it divides the meter volume by the tester volume, multiplies that result by the tester accuracy, and divides that result by 100. I have attempted something with the following code: <table style="width:100%; border:none; border-collapse:collapse;"> <? php $test1FormA = $row['test1MeterVol'] / $row['test1TesterVol']; $test1FormB = $test1FormA * $row['test1Accuracy']; $test1FinalForm = $test1FormB / 100; ?> <tr> <td style="border:none; text-align: left;">Meter Volume: </td> <td><? echo $row['test1MeterVol'];?> </td> </tr> <tr> <td style="border:none; text-align: left;">Tester Volume: </td> <td><? echo $row['test1TesterVol'];?> </td> </tr> <tr> <td style="border:none; text-align: left;">Tester Accuracy: </td> <td><? echo $row['test1Accuracy'];?> </td> </tr> <tr> <td style="border:none; text-align: left;">Corrected Accuracy: </td> <td><? echo $test1FinalForm;?> </td> </tr> </table> However, my page no longer loads with this so I'm assuming I'm doing something wrong with my variables in the top, maybe with syntax. I just need it to take the values for those three data rows and use them in the formulas so that I can put the final result in the corrected accuracy field.

  21. I have used hierarchical data modal to store animals in database. Animal have only main and subcategory, and this is the result when I retrieving the Full Tree of Animals. SELECT t1.name AS lev1, t2.name as lev2, t3.name as lev3 FROM categories AS t1 LEFT JOIN categories AS t2 ON t2.parent = t1.category_id LEFT JOIN categories AS t3 ON t3.parent = t2.category_id WHERE t1.name = 'Pets'; +------+------+-------------------+ | lev1 | lev2 | lev3 | +------+------+-------------------+ | Pets | Dogs | Bulldog | | Pets | Dogs | Bullmastiff | | Pets | Dogs | Chow Chow | | Pets | Dogs | Cocker Spaniel | | Pets | Dogs | German Shepherd | | Pets | Dogs | Gordon Setter | | Pets | Cats | American Bobtail | | Pets | Cats | Balinese | | Pets | Cats | Birman | | Pets | Cats | British Shorthair | | Pets | Cats | Burmese | +------+------+-------------------+ 11 rows in set (0.04 sec) My question is, I'm having trouble displaying this information as an unordered list. My expecting result would be something like this: <ul class="list-unstyled categorychecklist "> <li><input type="checkbox" value=""> Dogs <ul class="children"> <li><input type="checkbox" value=""> Bulldog</li> <li><input type="checkbox" value=""> Bullmastiff</li> <li><input type="checkbox" value=""> Chow Chow</li> <li><input type="checkbox" value=""> Cocker Spaniel</li> <li><input type="checkbox" value=""> German Shepherd</li> <li><input type="checkbox" value=""> Gordon Setter</li> </ul> </li> <li><input type="checkbox" value=""> Cats <ul class="children"> <li><input type="checkbox" value=""> American Bobtail</li> <li><input type="checkbox" value=""> Balinese</li> <li><input type="checkbox" value=""> Birman</li> <li><input type="checkbox" value=""> British Shorthair</li> <li><input type="checkbox" value=""> Burmese</li> </ul> </li> <li><input type="checkbox" value=""> Birds</li> </ul> Hope somebody may help me out. 23. Hi guys, I am trying to make an iframe that contains another website so my users can login to the external website and view a partiicular html table on the external website. Once the user is on that page, I want them to be able to click a button hovering over the iframe that will copy all the html code and send back to my php. With this source code I will use the information in my website. One problem, I think the external website has disabled iframes from getting past the login page. Does anyone have a good idea where to start for this project? Thanks in advance!
  24. I have a php program that calls a function in my class to populate a select tag for display in the page. For some reason I cannot seem to discover, it retrieves the information, it correctly creates the option tags, but then when it displays the dropdown dialog box, the very top entry is missing. I sure could use another set of eyes on this to tell me what I'm missing as I know it has to be something simple. Here is the php page code that calls the function: if ($redisp==1) { $table_ex_entries .= "<table><tr>"; for ($x=0; $x<10; $x++) { //get the categories list with the selected one highlighted in the list $selected = $page->getGroupsForEntriesForm3($_SESSION['UID'],$entry_cat[$x]); //get the value for the off hours radio button if (isset($entry_offhrs[$x]) && $entry_offhrs[$x]=='y') { $set_checked_y = "checked='checked'"; $set_checked_n = ""; } else { if (isset($entry_offhrs[$x]) && $entry_offhrs[$x]=='n') { $set_checked_n = "checked='checked'"; $set_checked_y = ""; } else { $set_checked_n = "checked='checked'"; $set_checked_y = ""; } } $table_ex_entries .= "<tr>"; $table_ex_entries .= "<td><input size='12' name='date" . $x . "' type='text' value='" . $entry_date[$x] . "' id='datetimepicker" . $x . "'></td>"; $table_ex_entries .= "<td><input size='12' name='id" . $x . "' type='text' value='" . $entry_id[$x] . "'></td>"; $table_ex_entries .= "<td><input size='18' name='name" . $x . "' type='text' value='" . $entry_name[$x] . "'></td>"; $table_ex_entries .= "<td><select width='250' name='cat" . $x . "' value='" . $selected . "</select></td>"; $table_ex_entries .= "<td><input size='43' name='desc" . $x . "' type='text' value='" . $entry_desc[$x] . "'></td>"; $table_ex_entries .= "<td><input size='6' name='hrs" . $x . "' type='text' value='" . $entry_hrs[$x] . "'></td>"; $table_ex_entries .= "<td>Yes<input name='offhrs" . $x . "' type='radio' value='y' " . $set_checked_y . "> No <input name='offhrs" . $x . "' type='radio' value='n' " . $set_checked_n . "></td>"; $table_ex_entries .= "</tr>"; } $table_ex_entries .= "</table>"; } Here is the div in the html body (it displays fine as I have some javascript that determines which div to display based on the $redisp==1 show in the above code snippet) <div id="re_entry" style="display:none"> <p align="center"> *<b>Date/Category/Description/Hours are REQUIRED fields</b> <br>Please correct your entries and click Add Entries again to proceed. <br> </p> <?php echo $table_header; ?> <?php echo $table_ex_entries; ?> </div> And here is the function that it calls to create the option tags for the select tag in the first set of code building the html table. Oh and I do have categories preferences so it is retrieving just my list not the whole list in this function. public function getGroupsForEntriesForm3($uid,$category) { $out = ''; $cats = array(); $cat_id = array(); $catname = array(); $dbh = $this->rdb; //check to see if the user has set preferences for their list of categories $dbh->query("SELECT Categories FROM Users WHERE ID = :id"); $dbh->bind(':id', $uid); $row = $dbh->single(); $user_cats = (isset($row['Categories']) ? $row['Categories'] : ''); if ($user_cats == '') { //no special preference for categories so go get them all after getting the user's group ID $dbh->query("SELECT GID FROM Users WHERE ID = :id"); $dbh->bind(':id', $uid); $row = $dbh->single(); $gid = $row['GID']; $cats = $this->getCategories($gid); } else { //user has preference for categories so only go get the ones they have in their preference list to create the select options $dbh->query("SELECT ID, Name FROM Categories WHERE ID IN ($user_cats) ORDER BY Name"); $rows = $dbh->resultset(); $xx=0; foreach ($rows as $row) { $catname[$xx] = $row['Name']; $cat_id[$xx] = $row['ID']; $xx++; } } $dbh = NULL; $select_opt = ""; for ($xx=0; $xx<count($rows); $xx++) { //echo "category ID inside the function is set to " . $category . "<br>"; //echo "catname while while creating the select options set to " . $catname[$xx] . "<br>"; if ($category == $cat_id[$xx]) { //echo "match category is " . $category . " and cat_id[xx] is " . $cat_id[$xx] . " and catname[xx] is set to " . $catname[$xx] . " and xx is set to " . $xx . "<br>"; $select_opt .= "<option selected value='" . $cat_id[$xx] . "'>" . $catname[$xx] . "</option>"; } else { //echo "category is " . $category . " and cat_id[xx] is " . $cat_id[$xx] . " and catname[xx] is set to " . $catname[$xx] . " and xx is set to " . $xx . "<br>"; $select_opt .= "<option value='" . $cat_id[$xx] . "'>" . $catname[$xx] . "</option>"; } } return $select_opt; } Thanks in advance! Ches
  25. I've got an HTML 5 date input box working on my site. Anyone know how to make the whole thing selectable like a drop down (select) box? Currently you can only select it by clicking on the arrow at the far right of it. I don't mind about losing the cross or up and down arrows. I just want the field to be fully selectable like a drop down box. Any ideas please? Thanks.
