in page1.php i used a script: <? virtual("/page2.html");?>
in page2.html i used a script: <? virtual("/folder/page3.php");?>

Are page2.html and page3.php in the same folder? If so, the second include ought to have no leading slash as the file to be included is 'local' to the file that's including it.
