kev wood
iframes have now been depreciated and i was told on a post the ajax can replace these. what i need is to be able to create a "frame" to hold the contents of another web page or to display new section of the web. miracle_potential
Ah you mean framesets with an Ajax functionality? http://www.elated.com/articles/how-to-do-framesets/ Theres a tutorial on framesets not really that much differant to IFrames to be honest just a betetr way to do it. I'm not an Ajax buff like some of the other people on here so thats the best advice i can offer. Look for some ID specific Ajax loaders too depending on what your plan is Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/110915-iframe-replacement/#findComment-569033 Share on other sites

miracle_potential
Like I said I'm not an Ajax programmer so I dont really know. I'm a PHP programmer and a lot of the Ajax powered sites I use ( www.yesmail.com ) use framesets as well as a lot of shops and I use Iframes for my Ajax usually Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/110915-iframe-replacement/#findComment-571109 Share on other sites
