Blu_Smurf Posted October 8, 2003 Share Posted October 8, 2003 I get this following error anytime I try to use mysql, and this just started an hour ago. was working finr before error 2002: Can\'t connect to local MySQL server through socket \'/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock (2) any ideas how to fix this? tried reinstalling mysql didnt work and i made sure the service was started. running on gentoo linux btw.
