hi folks!

i'm a php/mysql newbie and have a problem with the following command:

$query = "select dev_name, inv_nr from devices, dev_det where dev_key = '" . $_GET["id"] . "' and dev_det_key_sec = '" . $_GET["id"] . "' and komp_typ = "Hauptkomponente";

as a result i get this:

Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_STRING in /server/apache/htdocs/mysql_test.php on line 2908
and line 2908 is what i've written above.

is it possible that i have to use \ in front of a "? can someone tell me whats wrong with the string?

thx n cheers
