secoxxx Posted July 18, 2008 Share Posted July 18, 2008 Im sure you have all see the tags on youtube, myspace, and almost every other site out there these days, Where you enter tags separated by commas. my question is. I have a field containing data like so: bob, joe, eric, john, bill, kim, andy, shay all separated with commas. now how in the world do they bring that data to the page, which each name a link, like so bob, joe, eric, john, bill, kim, andy, shay each link being a search type query string on the back end like tag.php?tag=bob, tag.php?tag=joe, tag.php?tag=eric and so on. Any one know what this is called? I am stumped. Thanks Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/115370-solved-youtube-like-tags-how/ Share on other sites More sharing options...
marcus Posted July 18, 2008 Share Posted July 18, 2008 You can explode it. <?php $sql = "SELECT tags FROM `videos` WHERE `id`='5'"; $res = mysql_query($sql) or die(mysql_error()); $row = mysql_fetch_assoc($res); $tags = explode(",", $row['tags']); foreach($tags AS $tag){ echo "<a href=\"search.php?tag=".trim($tag)."\">".$tag."</a> "; } ?> Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/115370-solved-youtube-like-tags-how/#findComment-593131 Share on other sites More sharing options...
