can you teach me the right commands in php to control the permission of the directories?
what are those functions to do these?

for example in linux 555, 666, 777, 567, 565 and etc.
read, write and execute

do you mean your webhosting directories? if so you probably need to contact your host...i dont think you can do that in php..or without your host allowing it
