Alternative to paypal?

Several people have suggested that allowing your clients to purchase your services through paypal seems unprofessional, yet I have no clue how else to recieve funds. I wouldn't ask them to mail a check in the mail, lol, that's just crazy.

How do you charge your clients?

It's not obvious why something that's instant, available around the clock, provides records, can be integrated with automated database updates, provides megabytes of 'how to" documentation, operates pretty well worldwide, and is secure is not a 'professional' option for payment. Maybe 'several people' could enlighten you (and me).

It's not obvious why asking a client to pay an invoice by sending a check (or a cheque) by mail is crazy. Enlighten me.

Unless you have a significant amount of business, I doubt you really want to go the merchant account route and enable credit card payments. maybe [a href=\"http://www.2checkout.com\" target=\"_blank\"]http://www.2checkout.com[/a] would be suitable.

i'm sure that these 'several people' have never seen an inline paypal payment method, whereby paypal is almost never mentioned (and the site is certainly never visited). paypal is really good for invisible integration, and as such, i'm with andyb here.

AndyB, I love your slightly sarcastic style /laugh.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"laugh.gif\" /]

Now, if you want alternatives, you can try

[a href=\"http://www.2checkout.com\" target=\"_blank\"]http://www.2checkout.com[/a]
[a href=\"http://www.authorize.net\" target=\"_blank\"]http://www.authorize.net[/a]

Or Google for "Payment Gateway" or "Merchant account".
Be aware that the more "professional" you want it to look, chances are, it will be as harder to do it too.

send payment to me and a *promise* to forward it to you /laugh.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"laugh.gif\" /]
I like the way you think. :D

akitchin: The only payment methods I've played with belong to a Business account, and those required actually going to the PayPal site. However, you could apply styles to the page, add your own header image, etc., to make it look exactly (or very much) like your own site. Does the Premier account come with invisible integration?
