Critique/Beta/Data Entry

Hello,

I am creating a new site called The Music Database. I would like people to sign up for it so that you can get a look at the site and tell me what is good and what are suggestions for improvement. With that, I would also like anyone interested in beta testing the website to feel free and add information in the process of beta testing as well.

Thanks for all that help!

It's not a matter of free vs. paid. We get tons of requests for signups in here and most of us refuse to sign up to all the sites. If you want us to test it, setup an account for us.

And FYI, if you're just fishing for members, that's not what this board is about.

When I click login without a username/password I get taken to a page with line of text for my error and have to click the back button, I don't like having to click back when something goes wrong in a form. Your registration page has zero style and doesn't integrate into the site at all, or lack of the site. Again with the back button. You also have all fields aligned left and the buttons centered, looks way off (firefox).

Yeah. thats not just FF, same in IE and Opera

I agree with what ober and AndyB said - if you want someone to test your site, give them a user name and password to use. That way, the irritation of having to sign up for an account is less likely to show when they critique your site

Hi,

Well I took the hit this time and signed up. Putting 123 for every box !! - Thats a great email address!

Anyways - you have a very poor website, both graphically and code wise.
For Example:
[a href=\"http://www.themusicdb.org/addNewArtist.php?message=<iframe%20src=http://www.google.com>\" target=\"_blank\"]http://www.themusicdb.org/addNewArtist.php....google.com>[/a]
Very Bad - just shouts cross site scripting. And I didnt go into much php/java script code messing.

When ever a transaction is completed, e.g. register or add something, all you give is a blank page saying:
"Record label successfully added!
--Go back to form if data is wrong, with data already filled in"

You have no navigation for the pages, having to click on the back button and banner to go home.
How do I change my password? or username? or what if I forgot my password?

Im going to stop there. You need to work more on you code and graphics.

Keep going - TONS more to do.
-steve
