help with dreamweaver

ok i have my website as a netowrk place(on xp home) and on frontpage(what i used to use) i could just opne and work withen the folder! How do i do that in dreamwaever? also i try to open one of my pages and it comes up this file is read only! how do i fix that? so i can open them...they work in frontpage fine!

I think that is an issue with using frontpage. I remember seeing an extention at the DW site for FrontPage import, so that FrontPage pages will work in DW.

In DW you have to designate the folder you are using, in the Site Manager.

I suggest looking in "Getting Started With Dreamwaever" in the help menu.

its not a "web" its in "my network places" on my comp! i open it directly into frontpage!..but i think ive solved it know! i just cpied all the content onto my comp then set up a site with dreamweaver! and then i "put" it on my site and it seems to have updated fine! when i "put" do i need to update all the depended files or whatver there called? i dont think so but im just wondering! as long as i "put" then too when i edit them it should all work? just wondering!
