MySql add data to existing string

Hello,

 

I'm looking to add data to an existing string. For example, I have a table and in that table I have a field called table_field1. Currently there is various data in field1 for each row. What I want to do is add something at the end of that data regardless of the preceding data. How would I go about this?

UPDATE table SET table_field1 = CONCAT(table_field1,' This will be added.');

I had tried that but apparently I missed the Field1 inside the ()  So I had

 

UPDATE table SET table_field1 = CONCAT(' This will be added.');
