help: joomla custom component - getting it to refer to uploadimage.php

Hi, im building a custom component (com_boats4sale) in joomla 1.0 Native and i want my edit pages to include the upload image function (administrator/popups/uploadimage.php) but im very new to php and joomla, so im just kind of bashing my way through at the moment.

 

i cant work out how and where to link the pages together so when i edit my boat (/com_boats4sale /editA) the upload image button appears.
