i'm just going to make notes as i go through the site, so forgive me if they seem blunt. i'll try to sum up at the end:

BTW, I'm using:
WinXP Pro SP2
FireFox 1.5.0.4
IE 6

1) Intro: the flash is pretty sloppy. first off, for the first several fade-ins, it comes in about halfway and then "jumps" into full view. fade-outs are pretty smooth, though. then, i noticed that every time you have text flying in or out from a distance, it's very jittery :( ... plus, on your last series of statements, the three lines of text are not moving together. they all jump separately, and then, on fade-out, the third line fades out slightly slower than the first two. two final comments, and i'll be done with the intro: number one, if it's an intro, when it's finished, it should always forward to your main page. you should never require a user to click on the "skip intro" link after the intro has finished playing. and finally, it looks odd since it's not centered. when the screen is blank, the skip intro link is slightly off to the left. you really need to center the entire flash presentation.

2) Main Site: Please take this with a grain of salt, as every person has different tastes, but i hit the main page, and one word came to mind: "why?" why pink? why serif fonts? why the flash banner? why the all-caps? why the unnecessary image links in the left nav? why the HUGE font in the center for the news? each of these questions needs to be answered, not to me, but in your own mind. keep the page simple for your users. if you don't have a reason to do something on your page, don't do it! i don't care for pink web pages, but that's just a preference thing, so i'll leave it alone for now. however, your flash banner really does nothing for your site. it tells nothing about your site, and it doesn't even give a feel for what you site is about. honestly, the best part about your site so far is the following paragraph:
[!--quoteo--][div class=\'quotetop\']QUOTE[/div][div class=\'quotemain\'][!--quotec--]WERUN2WIN.COM IS A COMPREHENSIVE RUNNING SITE BRINGING YOU ARTICLES,DISCUSSIONS,RACE INFORMATION,RESULTS,TRAINING TIPS AND THE CHANCE TO MAKE YOURSELF KNOWN TO THE RUNNING WORLD!
i do not like the fact that it is in all-caps, though. there are much better ways to emphasize things in web than this, but what i like is that it actually tells me the purpose of the site. if it wasn't for this paragraph, i'd be completely lost.

as far as layout goes, it's simple, but clean, so i can't complain, but the colors don't seem to cater to running in my mind. also, i'd love to see some images in the background or highlighted throughout the page as part of the layout that emphasize different aspects of running. when someone hits your homepage, they should have no question what your site is about at all. it took me a couple minutes to get a grasp on what you are doing with the site.

again, please take this criticism as it is intended. some of the things mentioned are only preference things, but others are practice, so i hope this is of some help. i know that some of the others will have plenty to say as well /unsure.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"unsure.gif\" /]

good luck
