PHP Returns white page with no error

I'm trying to configure a login system into my webpage. When including a specific file I start to get a blank white page on every click but when I refresh the page appears.

<?php
include('content/include/session.php');
if (!isset($_GET['p'])) {
$url = "main"; // Default page
} else {
$url = $_GET['p'];
}
?>

<?php include 'content/newsBanner.php'; ?>
<?php include 'content/'.$url.'.php'; ?>
<?php include 'content/footer.php'; ?>
</body>
</html>

There is the layout for the page. I've eliminated any white spaces before and after the php code. The session.php also calls 3 other files. Let me know if I'm not giving enough information.

If anyone wants to visit the site to see the symptoms please visit: http://gallery.vividusphoto.com/

All/any help will be greatly appriciated. Thank you.

Hmm, doesn't make sense. White pages will normally mean that there is a critical error (or something) and that it can't show the content , like using a die statement at the beginning of the page.

I just noticed that the page content is generated from includes, try using requires instead as they will produce errors then.

A lot of time it displays a white page because of the way the server is setup. Very annoying but to allow errors add this to the top of the page:

ini_set('display_errors', 1);
error_reporting(E_ALL);

You need the display_errors to be set or else it displays that white page. Hope that works for displaying the errors.

Give the file is the session file that is is erroring out on I am betting that before your start_session() there is output to the browser, which would break the script.

Hope that helps.

Ok, i didn't read it all just added a little bit to the top,

<?php

And again another case of copy and paste? As it is obvious you didn't write the code above.

If you try php coding you should learn to write your own code, or at least understand the code you have copied. That way you can debug better.

Basically you can initiate a class object anywhere on the page, putting it on the top will ensure that there is no output before the session_start() call.

I'm intrigued by the 'blank white page' that appears to work when refresh/reload is used.

When you get the blank white page, try using the browser's View>Source to see what generated HTML exists.  There may be a clue there.

View source won't come up in IE. I was wondering the same myself.

Try another browser and report back.

Using Firefox, the Galleries page ...

Galleries

Notice: A session had already been started - ignoring session_start() in /home/tedbalog/gallery.vividusphoto.com/content/galleries.php on line 4

Access Denied

Does that help?

Not to my knowledge, it's just trying to start the session again. It happens on other pages without this notice.

It's now returning this error:

Notice: Use of undefined constant GUEST_NAME - assumed 'GUEST_NAME' in /home/tedbalog/gallery.vividusphoto.com/content/include/session.php on line 109

Fatal error: Call to a member function confirmUserID() on a non-object in /home/tedbalog/gallery.vividusphoto.com/content/include/session.php on line 111

I tried uploading the file again with the display errors and it returned this.

I think your script may be too advanced and overly complicated for your purpose

Do you know what my purpose is?

I take the error message back. It was setting and object before including the files it needed. I moved the include infront of the objects and it's no longer giving me the error - but still giving me the white screen.
