Complicated Mod Rewrite Help

Hello,

I need some help creating an advanced mod rewrite.

Basically I want to organize my directory structure like this:

  config -- simple config vars

modules -- able to move modules in and out

  system -- my source code

  templates -- the html templates

webroot -- all of the folders and files available to the public

  .htaccess

I've been running a bunch of tests, trying to get it to work, but I can't figure out how to make it work 100%. I'm not sure if this is outside of mod rewrite's purpose.

Basically in my webroot folder, I want anything in there to take priority over anything in modules. In my modules folder I would have something like:

  modules

    - blog

      - admin

      - public

      - templates

      - system

etc. So basically each module becomes it's own "system" within the main system.

I can get it to kind of work, but again, It's not working 100%, which I need it to.

Please help if you can.

Thank you.
