I have only just recently started using PHP and Apache on my own machine. Apache version is 1.3 running on XP Home. Everything seems fine except when my local PHP script reads in a flat file from a subdirectory in my htdocs directory.  The script takes ages to run, a good 15 - 20 seconds or so, whereas on the webserver it is instant. If I delete the file the local script runs instantly too. Can anyone suggest reasons why this would be? The file is only about 30k.
Sir Isaac Newton said "If I have seen farther, it is by standing on the shoulders of giants". But it is not recorded as to whether he said it before or after he was hit on the head by a falling apple.

This could be a nuber of diffrant reasons.

1. Is it could be that your computer has a infection

2. Maybe the file is infected with something wich is causing problems

3. You probery have to many files and it cant handle it

TO fix this you need more MB

Hope this helps
