Apache no-install?

I would love it if I could find a way to use Apache without installing it. I'm not looking to find one of those packages out there that comes with all the fancy stuff and all you do is unzip, though.

I am on Windows XP, and I would just like a version of Apache (preferably 1.x rather than 2.x) that I could unzip and configure without having to install.

I expect that this has probably been discussed to death already, so thanks for putting up with me! :D

There is no packages like that I am aware of but when you install  it you can configure it how you want it to behiave by editing a filed called httpd.conf which is found in a folder conf within Apaches installation folder.
